Program Description: This is a 16- hour training to address the identified needs of
Teachers in utilizing Research-Based Knowledge and Principles of
Teaching and Learning to Enhance Professional Practice.
Duration: Two (2) Days
Management Level of Program School Level
Delivery Mode: Lecture, discussion, Simulation and Output Submission
Target Personnel: 15 teachers and 1 school head

Session 1-2: Research Based Knowledge and Principles of Teaching and Learning
Key Understandings A. How to use Research Based Knowledge that facilitates lessons effectively.
to be developed B. How to conduct research activities on classroom management
C. How to integrate research based knowledge and principles of teaching and
learning in daily lessons.
Learning Objectives 1. Discuss research based knowledge incorporated in the daily lessons.
2. Analyze the effectiveness of principles of teaching and learning on classroom
settings
3. Apply and integrate research results and educational principles on teaching –
learning process.
Resources Laptop, LCD projector, slides, pocket wifi, bond paper and printer
Application Use research results in planning, designing and doing teaching-learning activities.
Concluding Activity Teachers commit to themselves to apply what they learned in the training to
enhance their teaching and facilitate learning process.
Session 1: RESEARCH BASED KNOWLEDGE
Asking the participants to go through the activity cards exercise. Giving clear
instructions and that address questions/concerns/special contexts, etc. Announce
Activity the time given to them to accomplish the task in the given activity card.
Periodically, remind them of the time left. (note: make sure that the time alloted
is enough. The time it takes to finish an activity card task may vary depending on
the complexity of the task.
Analysis All participants should get to participate, whether by doing a round of
insights/questions (if the group is small, meaning 10 or below) or by grouping
participants into small groups/pairs to allow everyone to speak.
Concluding Activity End with a short review of the session and outline next steps (e.g. In the next
few days, please take the time to explore further other research facility that
enhances teaching-learning process.
Session 2: PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING AND LEARNING

Abstraction/ Present the power point to introduce the key understandings, skills and attitudes
Generalization which facilitates effective teaching-learning process through the use of principles
of learning.
