Program Support Officer


Program Background
The Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Infrastruktur (KIAT) is a 10-year Facility supported by the Australian
Government and implemented by Cardno. KIAT’s overarching goal is to support ‘sustainable and inclusive economic
growth through improved access to infrastructure for all people’. To support this goal, KIAT works with the
Government of Indonesia, Government of Australia, the private sector, Multilateral Development Banks and other
development partners, as well as civil society to help achieve the following ‘End-of-facility Outcomes’ (EOFOs):

1. Improved GOI policy and regulatory framework for infrastructure development


2. High quality projects prepared and financed by GOI, the private sector and / or MDBs
3. High quality infrastructure delivery, management and maintenance by GOI

The initial focus of the KIAT Facility is on the following areas: Water and Sanitation; Transportation; Gender, Social
Inclusion and Civil Society Engagement (GESI-CSE); and Infrastructure Financing.

Purpose of The Position


The Program Support Officer (PSO) will provide professional support services for a select technical portfolio. The
PSO will also liaise with relevant clients and contract staff in relation operational and administrative support in the
effective management of activities, contracts and personnel.

Objectives
The Program Support Officer will assist assigned technical teams by providing professional support services in day-to-
day management of activities.

Key Activities
The key responsibilities for the positions are:

 Maintain the project filing system though KIAT’s management information system
 Review incoming invoices, particularly expenses allocation within budget categories / cost codes, and validate
supporting documents
 Format project reports and other deliverables using KIAT templates
 Arrange meetings with government officials, technical teams, and other relevant organizations or individuals
 Coordinate travel arrangements for technical and activity team members
 Accompany international consultants to meetings
 Act as interpreter for international consultants at meetings at the KIAT office and elsewhere
 Translate documents from English to Bahasa Indonesia, and vice versa, as required
 Distribute activity documentation to key stakeholders
 Undertake logistics and administrative work relating to the preparation of activities, events and/or meetings
 Implement and report on activities and events, including establishing and maintaining an activities / events
calendar
 Arrange meetings with government officials (Australia and Indonesia) and other stakeholders
 Support the preparation of letters, reports (narrative and financial) etc. for the technical unit
 Any other professional work as directed by line management.

Selection criteria
Essential

 Minimum 3 years’ experience working in administrative, operational and finance positions within the
international development area.
 Excellent team working and interpersonal skills including dealing both directly and indirectly with
government officials at various levels.
 Good English and Indonesian oral and written communication skills.
 Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
 Possess initiative, reliability, and honesty.
 Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

 Available to start immediately

Position details
Reports to: Deputy Director or Program Manager as assigned
Assignment: Long term assignment, open for Indonesian nationals
Duration: 12 months, with possibility of contract extension
Commencement: Immediate
Location: Jakarta
Remuneration: Successful Indonesian nationals will be engaged under a national contract in IDR, and will
be subject to Indonesian employment regulations and tax obligations.
