STAGE REQUIREMENT
The stage should always be below eye level of
patrons sitting in the first row. Ideal height in between
2 feet 6-inches and 3 feet- 6 inches from the floor at
the first row of seats. The viewing angle of the
audience varies with art form.
DEPTH OF HOUSE
Optimum depth equals to 4 times screen width.
Maximum depth equals 6 times screen width. Depth equals to
1.25 to 2.35 times.
SEATING FACILITIES
Seat spacing preferably always exceeds the minimum of new
York code of 36 inches back to back and if possible, seats are
not less than 20 inches on centres.
STAGGER SEATING
To provide best visibility from any
seat, no patron should sit exactly in
front of any other person.
