23 Sinadinoski mentioned that the new Planrring Assistant, Tracey Crocker, began working with the
l4 Planning & Economic Development team on Monday, April 23'a. Sinadinoski said that Green-Up Day
25 will be on Saturday,}lday 5s and there are trash bags available in the Planning & Economic
26 Development office. Sinadinoski uploaded a housing Microsoft Excel spreadsheet on the planning
27 website that shows houses and aparhents for sale or rent within the Town of Milton. Sinadinoski also
28 noted that the website has potential capabilities for a real estate module to be developed that would
2L) allow links to be used to show both commercial and residential properties for sale.

33 A. 2020Town Plan
3'l Sinadinoski informed the PC that Survey #5 asked Milton residents about how they would
35 describe Milton's culture to lead to potential improvements, which resulted in a wide variety of
36 written-in answers. Sinadinoski shared rhat7}% of residents believed Milton would be
37 described best as semi-rural. Sinadinoski reported that Milton residents believed that the Fourth
38 of July was the best celebration in Milton s culture. Sinadinoski said that common themes found
39 in the survey in regards to important family values were safety, friendliness, nafure and

1 recreatiory honesty, family, kindness, education, farming, responsibility, *d respect.


I Sinadinoski shared that when ranking aspects of Milton s culture by importance, the results
i showed that economy and workforce ranked the highest with natural landscape in second.
-l Sinadinoski reported that the citizens believed the future of Milton's culture should improve the
5 size of. the farmers' market add more sidewalks, and add more local restaurants as tangible
tr Changes. Sinadinoski also presented that the people of Milton hope that the culture will become
7 more inclusive and more diverse.

I Rutz suggested that more data and information in regards to people leaving should be
l0 presented as an attempt to educate others and potentially keep them from leaving Milton.

l2 Sinadinoski shared that residents, based on given data, were indifferent to the change in
l3 Milton s growth rate. Sinadinoski said that this means the Town is unsure on whether or not it
l4 should grow. Sinadinoski showed that when the Town of Milton was asked about the
l5 importance of demographical information, the respondents believed that age was the most
1tr important information to track and income level came in second. Sinadinoski believes that race
17 and ethnicity statistics should be recorded.

l9 Micklus suggested that asking for race, gender, political affiliations, and religion may be taboo
l0 subjects in consideration to how the modem culture has changed.

22 Sinadinoski believes that these categories should be recorded for statistical reasons. Sinadinoski
ll shared the public comments in reference to the demographic statistic questions and found that
2+ people wanted a more diverse and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds and
25 demographical categories without ranking of importance. Sinadinoski also announced plans for
26 a business survey to be released in order to gather more information to study trends for the
27 Town of Milton. Sinadinoski said that mass mailing would cost the department too much

.10 Donna recommended a more prevalent use of social media rather than mailing would be
II beneficial.

33 Chilcote suggested that mailing surveys out to residents would be the only way to ensure that it
1-l is only citizens of Milton taking the survey.

+2 Donna expressed concem with surveying because she believes that the citizens may not be as
-l.l involved as they could be as they may not understand the opportunity to give their feedback

.t6 Rutz explained that the data collected through surveying would be used to find trends rather
