18 Sinadinoski said that the Lamoille River Walk Bridge has been replaced and that the Town Forest trail
1t) is approximately half-way done with an expected completion in mid-to-late August. Sinadinoski said
2{) that the Economic Development Commission will be having a business mixer at Bove's on August 22",r
21 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sinadinoski said that there are expected to be approximately twenty-five people
22 attending at this point. Sinadinoski said that the Planning and Economic Development office has been
:,1 slow lately with 31 zoning permits for the month of May and L3 for the month of July. Sinadinoski
21 noted that the Selectboard meeting for the UDR edits were originally planned for August 20e but had
23 to be changed due to low anticipated attendance. Sinadinoski mentioned that the new meeting time is
)6 still to be determined and will be publically warned when a date is set.

3tl A. Education Chapter of Comprehensive Plan
3i Sinadinoski reported that approximately 50% of Milton residents surveyed thought that the
32 schools in Milton were of average quality and nearly 28% believed them to be below average.
j3 Sinadinoski reported that when Milton residents were asked in what ways the Milton schools
:\4 are doing a great job, they said that the teachers were great, the food service is excellent, there
3tt are strong sports prograrrrc, and good prograrns to meet special needs children. Sinadinoski
36 said that residents thought Milton schools could improve by working on making the
37 administration better, properly handling behavioral issues, developing better communication
:i,8 between the school and parents, and adding more challenges or opportunities for children who
3q are already excelling.

2 Donna recorunended that these results be shared with the school board and the
1 superintendent.

5 Sinadinoski shared that97 people took the survey. Sinadinoski said that the majority of Milton
(.r residents reported attending some sort of higher education. Sinadinoski said that 80% of Milton
7 residents surveyed thought that Milton should have a trade school if higher education
B schooling is created in the Town. Sinadinoski said that there are Milton residents who would
9 like to share their skills with the public. Sinadinoski said that nearly 58o/o of Milton residents
10 surveyed believed that having an event similar to Bethel University in which residents teach
I1 others would be beneficial to Milton. Sinadinoski said that he may issue an additional survey to
i2 gather more information on the topic.

14 B. 262 Middle Road - SD Ireland Filt on Beaudoin Property
15 Sinadinoski reported that the decision has been approved with conditions that were questioned
16 by the applicant in regards to what is considered recyclable material. Sinadinoski said that there
17 was talk of appealing the decision, which can take place within 30 days of when the decision is
18 signed. Sinadinoski said that one of the conditions included that the company must provide
ii) their working logs within three days of being asked for them. Sinadinoski also said that all
:0 trucks and truck loads must comply with the Town's weight requirements.

22 The Planning Commission would like internal scales to be implemented so that the company
2:3 could be randomly weighed to be sure that regulations are being met.

2'.) Sinadinoski said that non-compliance leads to a notice of violation or a ticket, depending on
2tt what the violation entails.

?B Donna suggested voting for someone to represent the Planning Commission at the meeting that
2t) will be held on August 15*,.

31 Sinadinoski said that the Development Review Planner, Michael Burris, would be the staff
'32 representation for the Town. Sinadinoski suggested asking for additional safe-guards during
13 the meeting.

35 The Planning Commission insisted that the potential for water pollution is an important
:i6 concem to be addressed.

35 Chiicote took note of the suggestions of the Commission to present to at the Act 250 meeting.

,Ll Commission at the Act 250 hearing for the Beaudoin property. SECOND by Ross. Planning
