Hi there! Today, we’ll crochet these adorable little onions together. I’ve planted mine in a flower pot
and water them twice a week.
Head:
1. 6 sc into an AMR (6).
2. 6 inc (12).
3. (1 sc, inc)*6 times (18).
4. (2 sc, inc)*6 times (24).
5. (3 sc, inc)*6 times (30).
6. (4 sc, inc)*6 times (36).
7. – 9. (3 rounds) 36 sc.
10. (4 sc, dec)*6 times (30).
11. – 13. (3 rounds) 30 sc.
14. (3 sc, dec)*6 times (24).
15. 24 sc.
16. (2 sc, dec)*6 times (18).
17. – 18. 18 sc.
19. (1 sc, dec)*6 times (12).
20. – 21. 12 sc, stuff the head
22. Work sepals (like a crown): 6 ch, into the 2nd ch from the hook, work a sl-st, sc, hdc, 2 dc, and
another dc into the outermost loop of the base (into the sc from which the first chain emerged),
skip 3 sc of base, make a sl-st into the 4th. This has yielded in a triangle.🔼 Repeat 2 more
times.🔼🔼
🌸Flower: first work petals AMR, then cinch: into an AMR, work ch4, 2 dc, ch4 and a sl-st, repeat
5 times, pull the AMR closed.
Decorate the center of the flower with beads, sew to the head.
Body:
🌸Arm – make 2:
12 ch, into the 2nd ch from the hook, work a sl-st, sc, hdc, 3 dc, 2 tr, 2 dc, hdc.
🌸Leg – make 2:
7 ch, into the 2nd ch from the hook, work a sl-st, sc, hdc, 3 dc.
Sew or glue on eyes, decorate the face as you like. First, sew arms and legs to the body, then the
head. ✨ Finished!
