Another thriller,
better outcome!
Coming in on a heartbreaking
14-11 loss to Glendive after
blowing an 11-2 lead on
Friday, the Scotties found
out they could dish it out
and come from behind to
win. They hosted Sidney
last night and after taking
a 3-0 lead on a three-run
bomb by Laura Ross in
the bottom of the second,
the Eagles exploded for 10
runs in the top of the third.
But the Scotties would chip
away while not allowing any
more Sidney runs and would
narrow the gap to 10-9 in
the bottom of the fourth.
The game was scoreless
through the fifth and sixth
innings, and with the
Scotties keeping the Eagles
scoreless in the top of the
final inning, would rally
with a pair of runs for the
11-10 victory. Sweet! The
Scotties will be in Glendive
this Thursday (4:00) and
in Colstrip on Saturday for
games with Huntley Project
at noon and Columbus at
2:00. Spring sports are
rockin’ & rollin’ as Glasgow
track is in Havre today. Scotty senior Aurora Chappell picked up the win from the mound against Sidney.
