RESOLUTION NO. 2017 – 006

RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PEACE AND ORDER AND PUBLIC SAFETY (POPS) PLAN OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF MINA

WHEREAS, presented for consideration was Resolution No. 001 of the Municipal and
Order Council approving the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan pursuant to Section
116 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, and
Executive Order No. 773 series of 2009 further reorganizing the Peace and Order Councils in
every LGU;

WHEREAS, the POPS plan was formulated in compliance with DILG Memorandum
Circular No. 2015 – 128 for 3 years effectivity upon adopting of this Sanggunian to be
incorporated in the Municipality’s Comprehensive Development Plan;

WHEREAS, the POPS plan was presented during the regular meeting of the Municipal
Advisory Council (MAC) of the Municipality of Mina for information and reference;

WHEREAS, upon thorough deliberations this Sanggunian finds the same important,
hence adoption is hereby considered.
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Sangguniang Bayan of Mina, Province of Iloilo to pass a
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PEACE AND ORDER AND PUBLIC SAFETY (POPS) PLAN OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF MINA.

ADOPTED this 26th day of January 2017, on motion of Hon. Arnel C. Matta duly
seconded by Hon. Jose G. Salanio, Jr.
