1 Scope
This Uhde standard (UN) applies to the design and construction of industrial and chemical plants. It contains
requirements about design dimensions, weights and allowable loads of the hanger components and this refer
to anchor clips, U-shaped attachments, hanger nuts and hanger clips. American Standards with metric
dimensions are based for these hanger components.

4.1 Designation
For the designation of "anchor clip" length m1 and hole diameter d 2 shall be specified in addition to the part
number (refer to Example 1).

Example 1: Anchor clip, part number OA0001A, length m 1 = 70, hole diameter d2 = 11,
is designated as follows:

5.3 Designation
For the designation of "U-shaped attachment, type 1" the code for the height of U-shape attachment E shall
be specified in addition to the part number (refer to Example 2).

Example 2: U-shaped attachment, type 1, part number MD0001A, height of U-shaped attachment E = 80,
is designated as follows:
MD0001A 80

For the designation of "U-shaped attachment, type 2" height of U-shaped attachment E shall be specified in
addition to the part number (refer to Example 3).

For the designation of "head clevis pin, type B" the clevis pin diameter and the clevis pin length shall be
specified in addition to the part number (refer to Example 4).

For the designation of "washer" the nominal size of washer shall be specified in addition to the part number
(refer to Example 5).

For the designation of "cotter pin, extended prong type" the nominal diameter and the length shall be specified
in addition to the part number (refer to Example 6).

Example 3: U-shaped attachment, type 2, part number MD0011A, height of U-shaped attachment E = 80,
is designated as follows:
MD0011A 80

Example 4: Head clevis pin, form B (ASME B18.8.200M), part number MI0001A, clevis pin diameter = 12,
clevis pin length = 75, is designated as follows:
MI0001A 12 / 75

Example 5: Washer (ASME B18.22M), part number MU0001A, nominal size of washer = 12,
is designated as follows:
MU0001A 12

Example 6: Cotter pin, extended prong type (ASME B18.8.200M), part number MP0011A,
