MAY PERA SA BASURA: SUPPORTING THE LEARNING RESOURCE

MATERIALS IN GRADE 3 RUBY, S.Y. 2016-2017.

I. INTRODUCTION

Philippines now-a-days experienced a big bulk of problem on

the proper disposal of garbage. Every day, tons of waste
delivered by trucks in the different landfill, anywhere in our
country. The author intended to help by implementing this
project continuously. As concern citizen. I am fully aware on that
problem. It is hard to meet 100%, but it is a great help to lessen
the waste and pollution in our country. It is a small thing but the
result gives a big thing for us. Proper disposal of garbage creates
good practices, it shows discipline; elevate the cleanliness in our
surroundings. The author designed this project to avoid the risk
on our health, safety and gain income for the teaching learning
program. The essence of this program is not just to nurture the
fund. We uplift each and every one for the better surroundings in
the near future.

II. OBJECTIVES

1. Encourage the community for the clean environment.

2. Support the National Greening Program.

3. Establish the program through implementing reuse, reduce

and recycle.

4. Contribute the fund on May Pera sa Basura in the teaching-

learning materials.

5. Practice/ discipline pupils on proper segregation of garbage.

6. Help the environment.

III. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PROJECT

As a public school worker. I am wonder on how to eradicate the

waste as well as to raise fund for the project. We all know the school
itself has no enough money to sustain the learning materials of the
pupils. So I bear in my mind this worthwhile environmental friendly
project. MAY PERA SA BASURA. It is a joint project of parents, teachers
and pupils of Grade III- Ruby.

IV. METHODS/CONTENT

To conform the Department of Education, the program was already

implemented and it is ongoing at the Pinagsanjan Elementary School.
All of us are eagerly giving full support on the said project. Each and
everyone are required to bring 10 plastic bottles or any certain
worthwhile garbage that later to sell. Three sacks in the room are
provided for the waste products like, plastic, papers and other tin cans/
can. Parents are required also to collect every Friday morning to avoid
risky and safety on the pupils’ health. Sometimes, papers, bottles, cans
and other wastes are collected and bundled and piled in Materials
Recovery Facilities like steel barracks for the plastic bottles, placed at
the covered court of the school. Every week the garbage collectors
collect all the waste products.
V. PROJECT OUTPUT/EXPECTATIONS

MAY PERA SA BASURA PROJECTS, driven as one of the best

Example of unity between parents and school partnership in
terms of bayanihan and cooperation. Pursuing the goal of good
relationship and best practices for raising fund to help the
