District Accountability Committee (DAC)

2019-2020 Budget Priority List

One of the District Accountability Committee’s (DAC) responsibilities is to make recommendations to its
local school board regarding the spending of school district moneys. The DAC has learned basic
information about school finance during regularly scheduled DAC Meetings. In preparation for making
recommendations to the Board of Education, DAC members have worked on the district unified
improvement plan and learned about district funding from Chief Financial Officer, Meggan Sponsler.
Additionally, DAC members have been a part of the Superintendent Forums to gain a better
understanding of district needs and initiatives.

On March 19, 2019, DAC members prioritized the following list for consideration by Board of Education
members as they make budget decisions.
Ranking based on average response, where 1 is deemed the lowest priority, and 4 is deemed the highest
priority.
 Priority Rank of 1 = 1 point
 Priority Rank of 2 = 2 points
 Priority Rank of 3 = 3 points
 Priority Rank of 4 = 4 points
