By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. Understand specific details and information in simple longer texts on a range of
familiar topics by answering Exercise 2 based on the dialogue between Jon and the

2. Ask about and give detailed information about themselves and others by asking
questions to their partner about their favourite urban sports.

ACTIVITIES: 1. The Teacher shows a video on urban sports to the students and asks students to

2. The Teacher tells students the correct name of the sports shown.
DEVELOPMENT: Activity 1
ii. LESSON 1. Pupils look at the pictures and answer the questions.
2. Pupils read the interview between the reporter and Jon.
3. Pupils complete Exercise 2 by referring closely to the dialogue. Pupils decide if the
statements in Exercise 2 are true or false.
4. Pupils compare their answer with their partner
5. Check answer as a class

iii. POST-LESSON 1. In pairs, pupils are asked to make a list of gears needed to play urban sports.
