A. Content Standards different types of mirrors and lenses.
B. Performance Standards
C. Learning Describe the images formed by curved mirrors by applying the mirror
Competencies/Objectives equation S10FE-IIg-50.

II. CONTENT Relationship between the Number of Images Formed and

Angle between the Two Mirrors
III. LEARNING RESOURCES
A. References
1. Teacher’s Guide Pages Pages 140-141

2. Learner’s Materials pages Pages 178-180

3. Text book pages
4. Additional Materials from Two plane mirror, paper protractor, one peso coin
Learning Resources
B. Other Learning Resources
IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson Call the students to write their answers for the following questions. Then
or presenting the new lesson have the class agree with their answer using their thumb (thumbs up =
agree, thumbs down= disagree, thumbs sideward= undecided).
1. Maya is 1 m away from the mirror, her image will be ____ m away
from the mirror.
2. The height and the width of a chair is____ the height and the width
of its image in the plane mirror.
3. The angle of incidence is ____ the angle of reflection.
4. The word”bed” would appear as _____ in a plane mirror.
B. Establishing a purpose for Let the class play the famous reality gameshow “Who wants to be a
the lesson Millionaire.”
The teacher asks the students who wants to be a millionaire. Those who
want to be a millionaire would have to tiptoe and stretch their hands
towards the ceiling. After the stretching, tell the students that today’s
activity could be their key to become a millionaire.
C. Presenting The teacher divides the class into 8 groups. The teacher checks the materials
Examples/instances of new and presents the objectives and procedure of the activity.
lesson
D. Discussing new concepts Let the students perform activity 4 entitles “Who wants to be a
and practicing new skills #1 Millionaire?”
After performing the activity, let the representative from each group present
their output.
E. Discussing new concepts The teacher discusses how to determine the number of images formed by
and practicing new skills #2
two mirrors using formula.
Formula: N= 360/θ-1
Where in: N= no. of images formed by two mirrors
θ = angle between the mirror
F. Developing mastery Let the students answer the question.
(Leads to Formative Assessment)
1. What happens to the number of images formed as you vary the angle
between the mirrors?
2. What relationship exists between the number of images formed and
the angle between two mirrors?
G. Finding Practical Let the students answer the question.
applications of concepts and
1.How should the mirrors be arranged such that an infinite number of
skills
images will be formed or seen?
H. Making generalizations and The teacher re-discusses the relationship between the number of images
abstractions about the lesson formed and angle between the two mirrors.
Multiple images are formed by the reflection that happens when arranging
at least two mirrors. As the angle between the mirrors increases, the number
of images formed decreases. The number of images is inversely
proportional to the angle between two mirrors. The formula in the
determining the number of images formed by two mirrors is N= 360/θ-1.
I. Evaluating Learning The teacher tells the students different statements about the relationship
between the number of images formed and angle between the two mirrors,
let them tell if the statement is TRUE or FALSE.
1. Multiple images are formed by the reflection that happens when
arranging at least two mirrors.
2. As the angle between the mirrors increases, the number of images
formed decreases.
3. The number of images is inversely proportional to the angle between
two mirrors.
4. Arranging the mirrors in
The formula in the determining the number of images formed by two
mirrors is N= 360/θ-1.
J. Additional activities for Compute for the number of images formed by two mirrors placed at the
application or remediation following angle.
1. 20°
2. 40°
3. 10°
4. 15°
5. 24°
V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION (Note: The # of learner’s should be stated by section)
A. No. of learners who earned 80% on the
formative assessment
B. No. of Learners who require additional
activities for remediation
C. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners
who have caught up with the lesson.
D. No. of learners who continue to require
remediation
E. Which of my teaching strategies worked well?
Why did these work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter which my
principal or supervisor can help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized materials did I
use/discover which I wish to share with other
teachers?
