I love the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool. It is right next to the Lincoln Park Zoo, but most people don't even know that it is
there.
I love the beaches in RoPa/Edgewater. Beautiful, less hectic than Oak Street or North Ave, and cleaner, too.
Promontory point. You can sit or lie on the rocks. I like stepping down into the water and going for a swim. No
lifeguards, no crowds, a great view.
Japanese Gardens south of MSI, then bike S. Harper Ave from 59th-57th. Those houses on that street rock my
world.
The Austrian Bakery on North Clark. It was just rebranded to Cafe Vienna. But don't go there, that's my place!
The neighborhood of Ravenswood Manor itself sometimes feels like kind of a hidden gem, with a different vibe than
a lot of the rest of the city has.
I loved living there, off the Francisco brown line stop. The river, beautiful homes, the L at ground level. You're a ten
minute walk from Lincoln Square and Albany Park, two vastly different types of Chicago neighborhoods with very
different bars and restaurants. And north of Lawrence, just east of Manor, there's a running trail that goes along the
river up to Peterson.
And now I'm homesick.
Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder. Only place I've ever been to that does upside down pizzas, and they're
dang good.

nhu lan bakery on lawrence. 3.75 for an outrageous bahn mi, 50 cent bread, and the best pho in the city. i have no
idea why people go to tank88, when their broth is weak and their garnish is wilted.

Little Saigon
Illinois[edit]
The "New Chinatown" in Chicago
Argyle Street in the city of Chicago contains a Little Saigon district, and it has become the hub of vibrant Vietnamese
culture in the city. It is referred to by Chicagoans as the "New Chinatown", little Saigon, or most commonly Argyle.
Argyle is easily accessible from the CTA Red Line's Argyle station.
Brunch
$65 for adults, $15 for children 7-12 and children 6 and under eat free.
The five buffet stations include a Chilled Seafood & Salad Station, a Grand Hot Buffet featuring traditional breakfast
items and many of Shaw’s signatures – Fried Shrimp, Crab Cakes, and Parmesan Crusted Cod. Build your own omelet &
waffle bars will be showcased at our Chef’s station. The carving station debuts Roasted Beef Tenderloin, Lobster Bisque,
Seafood Gumbo, and not to be missed, the Steamed Alaskan King Crab Legs. Finish it all off with a decadent sweets table
including homemade desserts, pastries and much more!
Reservations are from 10 am-1:30 pm every Saturday and Sunday with the buffet closing at 3:00 pm.
*Brunch prices are subject to change on holidays such as Christmas Eve, Mother’s Day, Father’s Days, Easter, and more.
