Part B: Discuss how a collaborative relationship between your chosen profession and the other professionals would benefit clients
and you as a professional

Massage Therapy and Naturopathy

A collaborative relationship between Massage Therapy and Naturopathy would benefit clients because it would give them a
different option than a regular doctor. They may have a holistic approach to their health and having a collaborative relationship
between Massage Therapy and Naturopathy can give clients the holistic approach that they may want for their health. They also
may have not had any progress with a regular doctor and seeing a Naturopathic Doctor could really benefit them and give them the
results that they want. Having a collaborative relationship between Massage Therapy and Naturopathy would benefit me as a
professional because it would give a different perspective on how to think of how to treat a client. It would provide me with a
holistic point of view of a client’s concerns instead of just focusing on the chief complaint that the client has come in with.

Massage Therapy and Psychotherapy

A collaborative relationship between Massage Therapy and Psychotherapy would benefit clients who may be having trouble with
their mental health. They could be coming in my massages to relieve stress and that could be happening more frequently, with a
collaborative relationship with a psychotherapist we could refer our clients to them if they feel that is something that they want to
do. Having a collaborative relationship between Massage Therapy and Psychotherapy would benefit me as a professional because
some people do open up to their massage therapists and this way I would be able to refer them to get the proper help they need
when it comes to their mental health. Also, with having this relationship with psychotherapy I would have a better understanding of
the signs of mental health problems. Finally, having a relationship with a psychotherapist I trust to refer my clients to would be huge
for me as I know first-hand how scary it is to admit to anyone that you are having mental health problems and I would want to help
my clients with dealing with their mental health problems in the best way that I can.

Massage Therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture

A collaborative relationship between Massage Therapist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturist would
benefits the clients because it gives them a different option of care besides a regular doctor. Some clients may not fully trust or
accept western medicine, by having this collaborative relationship these clients will be able to get the help that is beyond our scope
of practice that caters to their needs. Having this relationship can also introduce clients that may to try something different from
western medicine for their health care needs. Having a collaborative relationship between Massage Therapy and Traditional Chinese
Medicine and Acupuncture would benefit me as a professional because it would be able to provide me with a base knowledge of a
different kind of medicine than western medicine. This would allow me to think differently how who to refer my clients to in certain
cases where western medicine has not been able to help people. I think it would provide me with a different perspective on the
typical ways of how to treat a certain condition.
