HILLWOODS ACADEMY PLEDGES FOR A

HARIT DIWALI – SWASTH DIWALI

An Anti Cracker rally was organised by Hillwoods Academy in which

more than 150 students participated to spread the message of Green
and Clean Diwali. The rally was flagged off by PTA Vice Chairperson in
presence of the Head of the School.
The school students in large number observed the ‘Green Pledge’
initiated by Ministry of Environment and Forests’. The students enacted
a street play to sensitize stu dents not to burn crackers and avoid
pollution. Respected Principal Madam spoke to students regarding
Supreme Court’s directives for not burning firecrackers and how
students can be the initiators for the message of Harit and Swasth
Diwali for the sake and health of one and all.

Students along with teachers took out a rally from school to Preet Vihar
urging everyone to light Diyas, spread happiness and save environment
by not burning crackers. Meaningful placards and a heart touching
street play by students made the daily commuters on roads stand and
ponder over the grave problem of pollution facing Delhi and NCR.
Children were applauded by the residents of Preet Vihar for taking up
the cause of environment and facilitating the need for a ‘Green and
Clean Diwali’.
