The Text:
What will life be like in one hundred years time? Will our
home life be more comfortable? Will our jobs become easier?
Will our health become better thanks to technology? According
to scientists, robots will be doing our hard work, taking over
some of our jobs and monitoring our health. Does this sound
unbelievable? This might be the kind of world our
grandchildren will grow up in.
Our home life will be greatly affected by technology and
this example might prove it.
Women find being a mother difficult because they have to take
care of children and do house work every day. Many mothers
work or attend school so they leave their children with
babysitters who are expensive and sometimes aren’t nice to
the children they watch. It will be great if someday every
family owns a robot to help take care of the children. Then
being a mother will be easier. Maybe the robot will be cleaning
our floors, cooking, vacuuming and washing our clothes. Do
you think this is possible? Will we have robots someday? Could
a robot be a mother?
