Virginia Mosk and Melitta Pinney.not only told us about the
free meditation session they run at the Beaumaris Yacht club,
on Tuesday evenings, but led us in a 10-minute meditation
session which from the host of questions and comments we
had afterwards was very well received.
We had another great Farmers Market on Saturday which was
blessed with great weather. The good humour and enthusiasm
of our club members at the Market continues and we can only THURSDAY 18 APRIL

Farmers Market Report affected our raffle beneficiary today, Stella Maris Primary
School, who has raised a reasonable good sum for the
school.
Today we were so pleased to see Ken Mirams back and
welcome Chris Mara and Mark Perelear to the teams of
setup/packup and unloading. Thank you to Chris Werner
for helping out as well. Thank you also to Malcolm Sawle
for helping out at the BBQ at a very short notice.
An observation - We did unusually well at the McDonald
Street - the number cracked a record 350 mark; this may
have been attributable to fresh street signs on Reserve
Road in front of the School. Street signs seem to have
drawn repetitive attention to our market from the passing
traffic in our neighbourhood of late.
Finally, a big thank you to those of you who were available
Another excellent month at the market today, cherished by to help out today. Good results and great teamwork.
a nice autumn weather and school holidays.

We had 52 stalls today. Almost all but one (unfortunately
the same as last month) stalls were really happy with the
crowd today - the organic meats, the fresh produces (and
there are a handful altogether, can't name them all here),
the Spud Sisters potatoes, the dried goods, the Quicey
Jones Jelly, the Gibsland cheeses, the Patissier Bread,
Honey - Gift for Health etc. I am so happy that the apple
man near the Wood Street smiled and told me that he is
happy today!
We welcome several new stalls - Turkish Gozleme, indoor
plants, Vietnamese pork rolls with vegan's choice. They
did really well and promised to come back next month. Mr
Ben's Coffee had a constant long queue after 9am. Brom-
ley's Bread sold out before 12 noon. Before 12.30pm, The
Pies that Wow You sold out their fresh pies, the Grand
Ridge Brewery sold out their can beers, the Green Eggs
and the Little Jem's Cupcakes almost sold out. The mar-
ket layout today worked well and gave an impression of a
really busy market.
One stall amongst these 52 stalls was run by two Beau-
maris North Primary School students, assisted by their
parents. They asked to run a stall selling handmade
beads to raise fund for Peter Mac Cancer Research. I put
them to RFM to seek approval. During the initial phone
conversation, I told them several successful stories in
fundraising and suggested that several raffle prizes may
raise more fund than selling beads - for a good cause, of
course. Today, they impressed the passing crowd with
seven prizes all donated by traders from Seaview and
Concourse Shopping Centres - a bit of homework helps a
mile. At around 12 noon, they have already raised close
to $600.
The success of this one off non-for-profit stall may have
