Senad Becirovic wrote this article about aspects like age or gender which encourages

learners of English as a Second Language and this article is published in European Journal of

Contemporary Education in January, 2017; it is available on EBSCOhost. The main focus of this

study is to determine that if age or gender affects the learning abilities of the learners of English

as a Second language. The results of this study reveal that age and gender both are important

factors which encourage the English Language learners. The learners of age group of 10 years

are more motivated and efficient in learning English as a Second language than age group of 18

years or more. On the gender side, female are more motivated then male learners.

The purpose of the writer is to find out the relationship between gender, motivation, and

achievements of learners of English as a Second Language. This research work is helpful for
teachers, parents, and students who have relation with Learning English as a Second Language or

who are related to teaching leaning process. This study was conducted in elementary and high

students of grade level 5th, 8th, and 12th.

The writer Senad Becirovic and the information of this article are credible and reliable

because the author has conducted this study under International Burch University, Bosnia &

Herzegovina. Moreover, this study is an academic research article which is published in

European Journal of Contemporary Education in January, 2017. I found this article from

University of Dayton’s library database which only has reliable research material.

As this article is based on learning English as a Second Language and what are the

motivational aspects for learners, so it will help me to complete my study questions for research

project.

challenges faced by teachers of English Language, and this article is published by Teachers of

English to Speakers of Other Languages, Inc. in December, 2014; it is available on JSTOR.Org.

The basic purpose of this study is to find out the challenges and difficulties faced by teachers of

English Language, and tend to know the individual perception or experiences of English

Language’s teachers at world and local level. This study is a part of the wide research work

conducted on more than 140 countries, but in this particular study authors mainly discussed
about South Korea, Columbia, Italy, Tanzania, and the UAE. The findings are based on mixed

method and have different results within countries’ studies.

The basic purpose of the authors is to know and determine the challenges faced by

English Teachers and their perception for these challenges based on their experiences. This

research work is very helpful for teachers, research scholars, and learner of English as a second

language learning, and this is also a helping source for parents to understand the point of view of

teachers. The context of this study is broad at world level.

The authors of this article have done this study under Aston University of England. As

this article is based on world level research studies, so the authors and given information are

credible and reliable. Most importantly, I found this article on secured library database with

complete references.

This article is helpful for me to know about the perception of teachers of English

Language, and to know their experience for the better understanding of Challenges in

teaching/learning English as a Second Language.

This article is written by Michelle Hondara about learning English as a second language

and its effects on minority-students of community colleges; this article is published by American

Educational Research Association in Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis on June, 2015.

The author has used Difference-in-Differences study approach to get appropriate results based on

different language speaking students’ attendance and enrollment in community colleges.


The main purpose of the writer is to the influence of teaching English as a Second

language course on students from different cultures, countries, and context whose primary

language is not English or who are born in US from migrated parents who speak different

language at home. Basically, this article is for students, teacher, and parents who belong to

community colleges of US.

This study is reliable and credible because the author Michelle Hondara has conducted

this study based on proper research and gave the proper references. The research topic is

debatable and relevant for study.

This article is helpful for me to know about the experience of students who learn English

as a Second Language at community colleges, and I can use the given factual information for my

research project.

This article is written by Leonissa Johnson and Amy Cain about the importance of

workshop for School Counselors to prepare them for training and implementing the learnt

strategies in ESL classrooms for better results; this article is published in International Journal

for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in January, 2019 and also available on

EBSCOhost. The study of this article says about the influence of ESL teaching strategies
workshop on school counselors’ behavior. The authors used mix method and triangular design to

gather information about counselors’ behavior.

The main purpose of the authors is to capture the impact of ESL teaching strategies

workshop on school counselors’ behavior and know about the results of using these strategies in

classrooms. The main audience for this study could be school counselors, students, and teachers.

The study is for the context of school teaching environment.

This study is credible and reliable because the authors Leonissa Johnson and Amy Cain

are professional researchers and their research topic is debatable as well as this study has

complete work cited which make it more reliable.

This study will help me in writing about some appropriate strategies for teaching English

as a Second Language. This study will help me to give proper solution for challenges.

The authors Halil Küçükler & Abdullah Kodal focused their study on issue of teaching

English as second language learning in overcrowded classroom environment; this article is

published by Canadian Center of Science and Education in English Language Teaching in

January, 2019. This article is an examinational study on teaching English as Second Language

learning in overcrowded classrooms. This study says about teaching techniques and imprecations
in overcrowded classrooms, and useful strategies to handle this issue. Moreover, this study

suggests some ways for teachers if they feel unable to handle this issue.

The main purpose of the authors is to examine challenges, strategies, and some relevant

solutions to handle the issue of overcrowded classrooms in teaching ESL. This study is helpful

especially for teachers and also working for learners of ESL.

This study is credible and reliable because the authors have done this study on a

debatable topic with a controversial issue which is so common in countries like India. The proper

research references make this study more credible.

This study will help me to get information about ESL classrooms’ environment if

teachers face problems to overcrowded classrooms.
