Most probably, your trainer will also be your supervisor or manager. He is there to
support you and show you the correct way of doing things.
You will be given plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practice on the
job. Make sure you practice your new skills during regular work shifts. This way you
will improve you speed, memory and your confidence.
Use the Self-Checks, Operation Sheets or Task or Job Sheets at the end of each
section to test your own progress. Use the Performance Criteria Checklist located
after the sheet to check your own performance.
When you feel confident that you have had sufficient practice, ask your Trainer
to evaluate you. The results of your assessment will be
recorded in your Progress Chart and Accomplishment Chart.
You need to complete this module before you can perform the next Learning
Outcome, Conduct testing and documentation.
MODULE DESCRIPTION This module covers the outcomes required in installing and
configuring desktop and workstation computer systems. It
consists of competencies to assemble computer hardware,
prepare installer, installing operating system and drivers for
peripherals/ devices, installing application software as well
as to conduct testing and documentation.

1. Requirements of software and license agreement are undertaken before installing the
software application.
2. Types of application software to install needed by the client or customer.
3. Availability of application software updates.

like worms, trojans, adware, and more. Eset NOD32 is a sample of antivirus.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Once application software update is available, it will notify you that application
software update is now available and ready to download and install. You can
see it or sometimes it pop-up on your system tray. And other application software
update will notify you when you are opening that application software
reminding you for a software update that is now available and ready to
download and install.
