1. What is the water and wastewater engineering ?
Water & Wastewater Engineering relies on a broad range of discipline - specific and
transferable professional skills to design and operate a process to treat water and wastewater

Teaching and Learning Paths
Lecture: 5-6 hours/week
1) Introduction of T&L topics, objectives and outcomes shown on MyUni
2) Two hour lecture: 3:10 – 5:00pm Wednesdays
3) One hour reading before or after lectures
4) Two hours practice (example and questions in text book),

Tutorial Assignments: 3-4 hours/week


1) Two hour tutorial: 9:00 – 11:00 Thursdays
2) Total four (4) tutorial assignments (two weeks each).
3) Tutorial questions are issued by Tuesdays in the 1st week for each tutorial.
4) Tutorial assignment submission – Online by 17:00 on Mondays in the 3rd week.
- Late submissions attract a deduction of 10% per day
5) Work in group of 4 students
- Students to form own groups by signing up on CANVAS by Monday 13th March
- Students not in an allocated group will be allocated by the lecturer
6) Numerical solutions and feedback will be given 9:10 on Thursdays in the 3rd week.
