Intern, January - May 2019
 400 hour Child Life internship in the Outpatient Clinic under the supervision of a Certified Child
Life Specialist.
 Provided support and facilitated patient and family coping during stressful events, including
dressing changes and anesthesia inductions.
 Observed and gained experience providing support on the Acute Care Unit.
 Promoted play and engaged children in developmentally appropriate activities in order to
normalize the hospital environment and meet psychosocial needs.
 Developed and facilitated expressive art activities with the goals of promoting self-expression,
communication and peer relationships.
 Participated in Shriners’ Team Brave program which assists in reintroducing burn survivors
