Validity and reliability- face validity, content validity, test-retest reliability

Objectives must have verb!- do not change attitude in one intervention

Operational definition- Make sure to have reference definition, operationalize definition

Theoretical framework- what are the theories you are using to underpin your study? How is/are the
theory/theories related to your study?

1. Introduction:

An introduction only contains your opening sentence/thesis statement, purpose of the study and
information on what will be in Chapter 1.

1.1 Must highlight issues with suburban pupils- why do you want to study them?

eg: Pupils still fail to read/come out with proper vocabulary + evidence from pupils’ works.

Eg: Pupils were not clearly exposed to vocabulary and usage of vocabulary at an early stage of Level
2 (causing them unable to comprehend to use or have English vocabulary banks- relate to teaching
approach which is your assumption of what is the cause of the problem)

1.3 Purpose of the study- just say the purpose of the study is to explore/investigate/test…

1.4 Significance of the study- to provide an option for a technique that may be interesting
