Concentric Skin Lesion: A Case of Recurrent Tinea Imbricata in an ---------

Case Report

A seven years old girl was brought to the bakti kesehatan by her father for recurrent skin lesion, with
pruritus involving almost her whole body. He reported that it began as a single plaque on her left arm
and subsequently spread to multiple plaques. There wasn’t any systemic symptoms including fever and
chills. It became better if she was treated with Griseofulvin which she got from nearby local clinic.

Dermatological examination revealed dermatitis located on the


buttocks, thighs and legs. It was characterised by multiple, annular,
concentric, erythematous-purpuric lesions (Fig. 1). In addition,
3 clinically similar lesions were present on the right breast
and the abdomen. The patient complained of severe pruritus.

On clinical examination, there were multiple, anullar, concentric, white scaly lesion in her whole left and
right arms, face, and both of her legs. In addition, an enlarge lymph node was found by palpation at her
right neck.

There isHer father stated that the lesion appear since she was a baby. He said that it only become better
if she was given griseofulvin. , The patient stated that she was in
good general health and that she was not in therapy with systemic
drugs.
