High School ELA Teacher

Seeking an opportunity to teach the English Language Arts (ELA) focusing on cooperation and
communication to increase the level of proficiency of writing in the future generations. I believe in instilling
onto my students the idea of self-efficacy. They need to be responsible for their actions and choices, as
they will be entering the workforce or college within a year or so.

Student Teaching
One year of student teaching at Shadow Creak High School (9th) and Lamar Consolidated High School
(11th) May 2018-May
2019
 Cooperated with colleagues during data meetings, PLCs or collaborating on projects to increase
student comprehension.
 Created Lesson plans alone and together with mentor teacher/colleagues
 Worked with students ranging from fourteen to eighteen years old. Instilled upon them a level of
diligence, honesty, hard work, and punctuality I would hold my colleagues and I to.

Self-employed Businessman
Business Owner 2009 – Present
 Was given a business to handle and manage after high school graduation. Through the income of this
business I went out and purchased an apartment complex with my brother. I still manage the business,
but will drop into the apartment office to help my brother/business partner out.
 Trained new employees to handle the job as I would on site, treating them fairly and hearing them out
when problems arose
 Dealing with issues ranging from city inspections to inventory complications with a calm demeanor,
while trying to provide a solution in a timely manner.
 Treated customers/tenants with respect and a calm demeanor when any complaints or complications
came up. I would handle it as efficiently as possible, if the problem was outside of my expertise I made
sure to find someone well versed in the issue to solve the issue for me.

Collaborated with cohort in developing 14 different sites; each site was keyed towards one philosophy of teaching.

I am interested in forming or adding to E-sports culture by either starting a club or group within the schools
because E-sports has colleges looking for potential players.
