To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Brynn Kennedy for her senior portfolio. I
am honored to state that I am Brynn’s art teacher. I have known her as a student for the last four
years. Brynn has grown as an artist over the years. This year she is focusing more on details and
her skill has improved immensely during this semester.

I feel it is important for you to know that Brynn is a great student and athlete. She excels in her
academic studies and on the court. She currently is juggling school, basketball and a job. Still,
she makes art a priority. Another outside school activity Brynn has committed her time to is the
National Art Honor Society. At least one hour a week for the last year, Brynn has dedicated her
time to painting to beautify the walls of our high school. The craftsmanship of her work is
outstanding. Every year, the NAHS creates ornaments and gifts for a local domestic violence
shelter. Brynn has made time to work on several community service projects for the last two
years.

Brynn Kennedy is a hard-working young lady. She has excellent attendance and manages her
time well. She is outgoing and demonstrates a willingness to help others. She has made art her
passion and is focusing her energy on perfecting her techniques. She is a well-round young lady
who will thrive as student of Western Michigan University. I believe she will make her dreams
come true. I know she will continue to grow and become successful. If you have any further
questions, please contact me.

Respectfully,

D’Andra Clark
