LIFETIME COMMITMENT OF SELFLESSNESS

Exodus 20:12, God commands, “Honor your father and your mother.” God
commands us to honor, respect and dignify our parents regardless of how they raise
us, their performance, behaviour or even dysfunction. Honoring our parents may be
a spiritual barometer of our relationship with God. And if we want to walk in His ways
and experience His love and power, then we need to obey his commands.

Ladies and gentlemen, my warm greetings and felicitations!

There are two generous souls who keep us together every second, every hour
and every day of our lives and during those seconds they give unconditional, unlimited
and unending love and care. They offer lifetime commitment of unaccountable
selflessness to their children.

Our parents always mark a perennial and profound imprint on our very soul
whatever and whoever we become in life. It is because of them that we become
ambitious, that we desire, that we become passionate about attaining success. It is
because of them that we share, that we learn to love and care.

We learn the rudiments of life from them. The very moment our eyes see the
real world, the first footsteps to footsteps we create for ourselves in life with who
we are right now. They were able to materialized and make things happen. The very
first words we speak to the words that we speak now are all the voices of love that
our parents echoed within us during our upbringing.

When we achieve something we want and become successful, more than us,
our parents are filled with ecstasy and pride. All the while they were saying that
silent prayer for our success, blessing us each second. Our dreams become their
dreams and our success become their success.

They forgive our every mistake, they are with us in times of failure, when we
are down they are there to put that smile back on our face, for they can never see a
tear in our eyes. Tears overflow in their eye if we are in tears.

Our parents are our greatest treasure and gift. Without them we are nothing,
nothing at all. These words or thoughts can never sum up what our parents are. They
can only remind us of how much they have given us every second. We can only say
and repeat ’Mom, Dad, I love you….’
