Paper Boat is a brand of traditional Indian beverages and foods produced and marketed by Hector
Beverages.

Paper Boat offers a range of fruit based ethnic drinks such as Jal Jeera, Aam Panna, Aam Ras, Alphonso
Aam, Jamun Kala Khatta, Chilli Guava, Nimbu Pani, Kokum, Neer More, Kanji, Sugarcane juice, Lychee
Ras, Apple and Orange. It also has a range of milk based beverages including Neer More, Butter Milk,
Badam Milk and Thandai.

The brand also launched Coconut Water in 2018.

Later, a Peanut chikki was Paper Boat's first venture into ethic Indian snacks.Paper Boat chikki is a Fair-
Trade product, a certification that ensures that everyone involved in the making of a product is fairly
employed and paid.The company procures its groundnuts directly from a farmers’ collective near Rajkot
in Gujarat at the Fairtrade minimum price.Paper Boat chikki has three other variants: crushed peanut,
sesame and Rajgira peanut.

Research Objective
The aim of this research was to find the reasons behind the decline in the Sales and Losses incurred by
the company in past few years afer a Good run. Hector Beverages reported sales of ₹69 crore and net
loss of ₹78 crore for 2016-17, as per its latest filing with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). It had posted
sales of ₹62 crore and net loss of ₹84 crore in the previous year.

was used.

One of the characteristic of descriptive research method is to get the answers of what is going on,
focuses on characteristic of certain aged groups or similarly how different proportion of attendants in the
same way (Iacobucci and Churchill,2015), also discover the relationship between two variables, Decline
in Sales and Consumer Buying behavior towards Chikki.

Data will be collected In the form of Primary Data using a Structured Questionnaire with Sampling used
as Convenient Sampling.
