VISITING FIRST DAY 1/08/18

INTRODUCTION OF THE RAILWAY WORKSHOP MYSURU

 Established 1924 in mysuru workshop expend present 1938.

 It cover total area 1, 01,171.

 Workshop started “NALVADI KRISHNARAJA WADEYAR”.

 We are visiting a first day given a permission MR.MEHGANATHAN technical assistant.

 We are visiting first day just got a basic information and how many shops should have in
railway workshop.
VISITNG SECOND DAY 2/08/18
We are visiting a shop in every day for one hour. The total visiting shops 15

1. MACHINE SHOP:

The Machine shop department is components of train manufacturing and bogie repair, wheel
air break this type of working this shop. this shop easily provided to every works.

2. BOGIE SHOP:

This shop is any blaster re condition for the parts and attaching for wheels to bogie frame.
Bogie shop is new manufacturing bogies is updating for railway technical assistant
department.

3. ALPHA SERVICE:

This service is very important to adopting trains parts to railway bogies.

4. SPRING SHOP:

The spring shop is have a so many types bogie to adopt a springs should working in this
section. The springs is pulley assemble dimension and alternator
And denomination of springs should manufacturing. The spring is ready to connect the bogie.

VISITNG THIRD DAY 3/08/18
This day we are visiting only few shops reason is rain comes.

5. FABRICATION SHOP:

This section is maintaining the air comproser any gear and all machines of maintaining in the
workshop

6. ELECTORICAL SUB DIVISON:

This division working employees explain this division is how to working.

Electrical sub division is supply of power to the workshop. All so have a generator with
capacity is 250 KV.

7. AIR COMPRESSOR SHOP:

This shop is operating for electrical and the working is served stabilizer and all so supply of
air to break tools and grinning machine all over the work shop

8. HEVY CORROSION RRPAIR SHOP:

The shop is indicating re-painting flaking and removal of corrosion pitting and rusting and
tapping highly carried coach train.
VISITNG FOURTH DAY 4/08/18
This day we are visiting trimming shop, paint shop, air break shop.

9. TRIMMING SHOP:
This shop ready to a material and arranging a seats and this shop having a many section is
their.

 Trimming
 Tailoring
 Marking
 Cutting
 Carpentry work

This section re-structuring for old seats.

10.AIR BREAK SHOP:

This shop over all service of air break and bogie break cylinder the air break cylinder filled in
coach Repair and maintenance of the air break.
This shop capacity 20 cylinder per day.

11.PAINT SHOP:

This shop is glass cleaning, washing, re-painting of interior and exterior for heavy paintings
and preparation for pre-survey and touch up painting and dispatch.
VISITNG FIFTH DAY 5/08/18
TODAY WE ARE VISITING WELDING SHOP, MILL WRIGHT SHOP, AND
WHEEL SHOP.

12.WELDING SHOP:

This shop welding for break head, break down or beam and this shop working grading,
drilling, de-barring all these processes carried out in a controlled conditions.

13.MILL WRIGHT SHOP:

Mill Wright shop maintaining a machine, air compressor and pumps, platforms track. Road
crones, Lorries of all shop

14.WHEEL SHOP:
Wheel shop is discs are mounted and wheels is not matching one to one is aligning for
wheels.

15.TRANSPORT FACILITIES:
The transport is every day going on the railway workshop ready wheels and shifts to mysuru
junction and other place comes for the materials.
