GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The main element is IAU equipment. It receives the status signals from the
different Auxiliary Equipment through the Connection Panels or the LAN.
The IAU determinates the state of those signals (active/inactive) and sends a
message with this processed information to M&C systems through both LAN, via
Ethernet port and using UDP/IP protocol.
Moreover, the IAU receives the control messages from M&C Systems (either SLG
or SRG), in a redundant way through both LANs, and generates the control signals
for Non Radar Systems (i.e. UPS).

equipments, through LAN, and uses a serial port (RS-232) to communicate with
each one of them. Reciprocally, it sends to M&C Systems their operation status to
monitor it.

INTERFACE ADAPTER UNIT SYSTEM (IAU)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Functional Description
The CNR System is composed of equipments and software that are able to
represent in a graphic method the state of different auxiliary systems depending on
the signals sent by these systems.
The main element of the CNR system is IAU equipment. IAU receives signals from
the Auxiliary Equipment Control & Monitor Systems trough it I/O board. With these
signals, a message is generated and sent to the SLG equipment in local, and to
the SRG equipments in remote. This message is processed by the CNR_L and
CNR_R applications respectively, and they represent graphically the state of the
different systems.

Monitor Systems, using different graphics in the CNR_L or CNR_R applications.
Date: 16/04/2009
An order message is generated and sent through the LAN to the IAU equipment,
and this equipment acts in a switch board connected to the auxiliary equipment
control and monitor system.

Functional Description
The pedestal sends the information of its status (and receives orders)
through the pedestal control box, which is connected to the IAU.
This information is captured by the IAU and sent again through the LAN.
Finally this information is represented in the SLG screen.

The Ethernet ports are 10/100Base-T standard and use RJ45 type
connectors.
The status signals are either opened or shorted contacts, and them arrive
at the IAU through SCSI connector (100 PINS) from DIN-100S connection
panel.
The serial communication ports are RS-232 standard. There are 4 ports,
one of them for the UTS, another one for the transponder and the other
two ports are not used.
