Senior High School No.11 is


a 50-year-old upper
secondary level school,
situated in the suburban
area.The school is very
conveniently located to
come here by public
transport. Trams ( no. 2, 4,
10) and buses (145, 146)
all make frequent stops
near the school.
OUR SYLLABUS

Teachers at our school cover the


syllabus for the Polish secondary
schools of 3-year general
education.
The aim is to gain good
possibilities for applying for
further studies such as university
and polytechnics. 
Teachers are experienced and
qualified with university degrees
and a teaching certificate.
There are 6 or 7 classes (around 30
students in each) in each year.

Students get used to
independent work, do research
on a smaller scale and achieve
an extensive all-round
education.

At the end of their studies they


take the national matriculation
examination called the
MATURA EXAM, which
they take in written and oral
parts.
The teachers use
modern technology to
support their work.

Students are provided


with good conditions
to work in.
The upper secondary school
syllabus includes compulsory
subjects:
Mother tongue and Literature,
Foreign Languages, History,
ICT, Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry, Biology,
Geography, Social Studies,
Culture, Economics,
Philosophy, PE
Religion or Ethics.
Language Program
In addition to the compulsory
Polish and English studies,
students can choose German
or Spanish courses.
Foreign languages are taught
at advanced and basic levels.
Latin may be offered in some
forms.
Extra-curricular activities
The school sets a high value to extra-curricular
activities and offers a wide range of clubs.
The students can take an interest in drama, chess,
aerobics or Odyssey of the Mind, during their
leisure time.

The student council has long traditions and is


actively involved in decision-making and the
development of the school culture.

We all aim to
make school
a safe place
where everybody
can learn in
a pleasant
environment.
The atmosphere is positive
and relaxed. This is a cosy
school, which is always nice
to come to.

If needed, the students can


be assisted by health care &
guidance counselling.
In the school we have
two teachers, who take
care of the pupils with
special needs. Those
pupils get extra
guidance.
Special Occassions
Some happenings during the
year arranged by the
students:

- Christmas parties
- Festival of English Song
- ' I've got Talent',
- sport events
- theme days
- excursions to museums and
exhibitions
- Leavers' Ball
Drama Club
Celebrations and ceremonies

Studniówka (literally, "100 days


ahead party")
Graduating final grade students
have their own traditional ball,
which takes place around 100
days before the exams start.

International Contacts
Everyone who is keen to co-operate
is warmly welcome.
The school is eager and ready to launch joint
projects, programmes and exchanges, particularly
the ones whose objectives are to broaden the
knowledge of languages and cultures or those
dealing with forming and functioning of civil
society.
