IP DEGREE OF PROTECTION OF AN INSTRUMENT

The IP degree of protection is the European standard EN 60.529/ IEC 529, it is a

two-digit classification.

Where the first refers to solid particles, i.e. the degree of protection of solid
objects inside the equipment, depending on the diameter of the equipment, the
figure will be between 0 and 6, the higher the number the higher the level of
protection.

The second figure indicates the protection that the housing provides to the
equipment against the penetration of liquids in different forms, and similarly the
higher the value of the second figure, the greater the protection.

fully protected against dust and cannot be damaged during permanent immersion
in water).
