Three Inquiry Questions and Paragraphs

1. In what ways/ how is technology impacting our modern education today?

 This question interests me as I am currently a student attending college with the
power of technology rapidly advancing each and every day. With the evolution of
technology that we are apart of, I am curious to answer the question if technology
has had any or will have any impact on our modern education and this could
apply to our future education as well. We are seeing that technology is playing a
big role in how we educate our future generations. As time goes on with
technology becoming almost a second-hand kind of thing to younger people, it’s
fair to ask how much of a role will teachers actually play in educating in the
future.

2. In what ways/ how can the sport of football be improved so that the overall quality of the
sport will become safer in order to reduce the number of concussions that occur?
 This question interests me because I am very interested in football and this has
been a main topic of discussion in the National Football League (NFL) for the
past few years now. The question is really all about how it is possible to make
such a violent sport such as football a little bit safer each year to decrease the
amount of not only concussions, but injuries in general that we see in football. We
know that repeated damage to the brain can lead to serious, long-term health
issues in the future such as Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). We are
now seeing a number of retired football players coming out and revealing that
they now have CTE or past football players having had CTE and that this is
starting the discussions among parents about whether they want their children
playing football or not.

3. To what extent is education becoming inflated?

 This question interests me because of a TED Talk that I watched earlier in the
semester when a man was discussing whether or not our education system has
become inflated. What he meant by this was referring to the past when kids went
to college to get degrees which would in turn help allow them to have a good job
and career and then referring to our education now and seeing that now kids are
going to college to get a degree because that is what is required of almost every
job nowadays. He explained that the amount of education and qualification
needed for the same job requires much more out of today’s college students than
it did 20-30 years ago.
