2018 1-Year Chinese Courses Program

I. Admission Requirements
1. Academic record equivalent to a Chinese high school graduate or above;
2. Capacity of language learning and communication in English;
3. Interests in Chinese culture, society and economy;
4. Good self-discipline and interpersonal skills for independent living and studying;
5. Financial support from family or other organizations.
6. Being in good health.

II. Training Period: September 2018 to June 2019.

III. Program Arrangement

International students have the following options of study at NJPI
1. Elementary Courses (for students with limited or no knowledge of Chinese )
z Core Courses ： Chinese Listening (elementary),Chinese Speaking and Pronunciation(elementary), Chinese
Characters Writing (Elementary), Chinese Reading (elementary)
z Optional Courses： HSK Training, Travel Chinese, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese Painting
z Social Activities: Culture Exploration

2. Advanced Courses (for students with HSK Level 3 or above certificate or good at communicating in Chinese)
z Core Courses: Chinese Listening (advanced), Chinese Speaking and Pronunciation(advanced), Chinese Writing,
Chinese Reading (advanced)
z Optional Courses： HSK enhanced Training, Travel Chinese, Chinese Culture, Chinese Martial Arts
z Social Activities: Culture Exploration

IV. Application and Admission (deadline: 20th. July.2018)

1. Candidates need to ask for the NJPI International Student Application Form and Foreigner Physical Examination
Form from Admission officer of NJPI.
2. Candidates submit his documents to admission officers by whom all the documents will be submitted to NJPI
Administration Office (all the documents will not be returned). Documents required include:
z NJPI International Student Application Form (original form);
z Foreigner Physical Examination Form;
z Photocopy of valid passport;
z Photocopy of Diploma or Certificate to prove the schooling background and experience;
z 2 passport-sized photos;
z Additional documents which can prove the applicant’s comprehensive ability, such as awarding certificate, admission
notice of other university, etc.
z HSK Certificate.
3. If you are accepted, we will send you NJPI Admission Letter and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202)
within 3 weeks after the application deadline.
4. The successful applicant goes to Embassy of People’s Republic of China with the NJPI Admission Letter to apply
student visa(X1) for those who stay for more than 180 days.
5. Successful applicants should bring their NJPI Admission Letter, Foreigner Physical Examination Form (original) (this
form only valid for 6 months, we suggest applicants do the check-up in MAY) and their JW202 Form to International
Education School. Those who could not enroll on time are required to go through the extension procedure.

V. Accommodation Information
1. Dormitory: 4 persons/ bedroom, 8 persons share living room, kitchen and bathroom.
2. Facilities： Well-furnished kitchen and bathroom，well-equipped with bed, mattress, study desk, wardrobe, dining table,
refrigerator, washing machine, TV set, Internet, microwave stove, electromagnetic oven.
3. Free water and electricity allowance of 50RMB/month/person. Extra fee of water and electricity use over the free
allowances shall be paid by students themselves. (3.1rmb/ton and 0.60rmb/kWh for extra)
