Assignment Title: Social Issue Senior Paper

Student Writing Goal: My goal was to get an A or a B in this writing assignment. I only wanted to get a 80-90%.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this assignment was so the senior can graduate depending on their writing skills. It shows the
teacher the level the students are in writing. A student cannot pass without doing the senior paper/.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
My senior paper was extravagant because I got a 90% . There was a few errors, my most common mistake
was commas. There was many spaces where I forgot to use commas so the sentence wouldn’t be a run-on
sentence.
What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
The aspect I believe I did the best is the citation because I didn’t really have any plagiarism. The examples I
use to back up my story were trustworthy with a valid point. Nodjimbadem, Katie. “The Long, Painful

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I just finished revising it. I am a little disappointed in all the simple mistakes I made. I could have gotten a
better grade but I made little mistakes that I need to learn from because I always forget to put commas in
places.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will choose better word choice because I used “people” and “cops” a lot throughout my essay. I need to start
using comas in the correct spaces throughout my writing assignments as well.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I did succeed in my goal even though I still wish it could’ve been higher. That grade is better than having it
lower. I stressed about this essay for so long and when I finally did it, it drained me. I gave it my hardest
work, I don’t think ive ever re read my own essay that many times.
