ELEMENTARY RHYTHMS/DANCE EDUCATION LESSON PLAN

GRADE LEVEL & NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 2nd Grade, 14

TIME: 20-30 mins

EQUIPMENT: CD player, “7 Jumps” song

OBJECTIVES:
Psychomotor
1. The student will practice their locomotor skills by demonstrating them in series as well as use their listening
skills as music repeats.
Cognitive
1. The student will be able to use their memorization skills by remembering the specific movements directed by
the teacher.
Affective
1. The student will demonstrate respect by participating with peers on rhythm and dance activities.

Part 1. Introductory Activity: P.E. 1.1 Move to open spaces within boundaries while traveling at increasing
rates of speed.

regards to the how to do the specific movements and what they are called.
