Assignment Title: Quarter 2 Mid Unit

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to be able to score 80% or more on all off the assignments that were given. I
want to also expanded my word choices and be able to stay on topic and no get off track or repeat words and phrases

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

In this writing assignment I was supposed to express three Anglo Saxon values that Beowulf represents. I
tried my best to find quotes supporting what i believed he had represented towards his society, and what
others in that community seen in Beowulf. It was hard at first due to Beowulf portraying a multiple traits
during his time, it was hard to narrowing it down to just three factors.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I believe I did go with what was expected from the rubric. Even I might have gotten a little bit of topic with
focus on other character's thoughts more than just a whole society. I provided what was all needed in the
essay and shown evidence in what I believed he had shown during his time.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I did good on the aspect of finding quotes supporting all of my claims in what three main values he had
represent. Collecting all the right quotes was hard however I think I managed to stay right on topic in just the
exact quotes that was needed just explaining them was a little, messy.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I have chosen to revise this essay because I had gone back and re read my original thoughts and some
sentences didn’t even make sense. I typed to fast I think and just didn’t go back to re-read what I wrote and
made the essay sound all over the place. Also, I was repeating a lot of words, so I went back and used a
thesaurus which really helped me improve on this essay

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
In my next writing assignment, I will do better on everything. As much as I may say that I am going to try
and stick to my word. It just makes it harder for me in the future if I slack on stuff such as essay because if
effects my grade, which is really important. I just need to reread and think carefully about what I am writing
and if it goes with the topic of any essay.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I achieved my goal of completing it. That is really it., Nothing good came out of me completing this essay
rather then the fact that I actually finished it which im proud of. But other than that none of my goals were
met which is not a shocker. However I believe I will improve overtime
