Audacity
The student learning will be assessed by how they wrote their word problems. This will just be a formative
assessment in order to see what they know and what areas we will be able to work on for next time. I will
include differentiation for the students when needed. If a lot of the students seem to be struggling with the

task, pair them up and have them engage in academic conversation and figure out one or two-word problems
with the money they brought in. The teacher will select a few different word problems created by the
students and with parent permission post the m on the blog for the students to look back at and the parents
to see.
Importance of technology:
This blog is very important for this project, because if it was not provided to the students, they would not be
able to complete the flipped classroom assignment at home and know to bring in their results from the
assignment to complete another assignment in school the following day. This particular assignment is not one
that could be done without this technology. The students are supposed to listen to a brief podcast for the
information and bring something from home to participate in another assignment. It also gives them an
opportunity to practice with technology at home for future assignments. The students themselves will not
NEED to use any other technologies for this assignment, although they may want to use google (or a book) to
review how much each coin and dollar is worth. The use of audacity is also very important for this
assignment, because it is what I used to introduce the new standard to the students. If this was not available
for the teacher to use, this assignment would not really reflect the UDL framework because their wouldn’t be
any multiple means of representation.
