B. DESCRIPTION
1. Rationale
The Alumni Tracer Study is part of the administrative structure of the school. The Alumni
Study will support itself through donations by organizations and graduates who will be actively
supporting the association. To have a productive and successful Alumni Tracer Study, the
researchers look for information, as well as instructors to instruct and get involved that makes
them gather information within 3-5 months.
Supported transition from the University to the workplace of a graduate, whether it’s from
part-time jobs or on the job trainings completed as part of his/her degree.
The benefits of this study helps the IFSU Lagawe Campus to know where there Alumni are
working and their personal profile. Alumni Tracer Study helps create the information of Alumni
Students in IFSU Lagawe Campus.
2. Review of Related Studies
The Alumni Tracer Study of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina Alumni Association.
According to their database there are 5128 total no. of graduates from school year 2009- 2014.
From the programs of: Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Arts in Mass
Communication, Bachelor of Secondary Education - Major in Mathematics, English and Filipino.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Business Management and Accountancy, Bachelors
of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant
Management, Bachelor of Public Administration, Caregiver, and Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration Major in Human Resource Development Management, Marketing Management
and Entrepreneurial Management.
Recently, the Alumni Association was unorganized and lacked a firm plan of action to
establish itself with the School's graduates and to increase its membership database. The research
develops a Web based Alumni Tracer system for the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina Alumni
Association. This system provides a standardized format for storing data and tracking alumni. This
research provides a proposed system covering the Alumni Association's system requirements
acceptability analysis and usability design methodology.

3. Objectives
The research was designed to study and determine the Alumni of IFSU Lagawe Campus,
Lagawe Ifugao.
Specifically, this study aims to answer the following:
1. What is the profile of the probable users of the IFSU Lagawe Campus Alumni Tracer
System in forms of:
1.1 Age
1.2 Gender
1.3 Course
1.4 Others, to complete the profile of a user.
2. How do the respondents evaluate the IFSU Lagawe Campus Alumni Tracer System with
regards to the following:
5.1 Acceptability
5.2 Usability
3. Does the system user’s demographic profile influence their approach to the acceptability and
satisfaction of the IFSU Lagawe Campus Alumni Tracer System?
4. Methodology
In this particular study, the researchers will utilize the descriptive method in gathering data.
The respondents of the study are all College of Engineering Alumni Students of Ifugao State
University Lagawe Campus Lagawe, Ifugao. Respondents will be determined through random
sampling. Permission will be obtained from the Ifugao State University Lagawe Campus with the
approval of the Adviser. The study will use a questionnaire as a device for the purpose of a
survey.
5. Expected Output
The expected output of the study will be a technical paper/report.
6. Intended Users of Findings and Outputs
The findings of the study will serve as to know whereabouts the graduates in the industry
where they can practice their field of specialization.
7. Impacts
The study will bring about and contribute to the deployment of the engineering students to
be experts in their chosen field/career.
