8. Present Future Perfect Tense : S + (will, can, shall, may, must )+ have +
V3 + O +......====== (9).
Example :
The students will have completed to do their tasks by the end of this week. Mr.
Usrok will have completed to do his tasks by the end of this week.
The two simple sentences above can be combined into compound
sentences and they are :
= The students will have completed to do their tasks by the end of this week
and Mr. Usrok will too.

9. Past Future Perfect Tense : S + (would, could, should, might, ought to) +

Example :

The two simple sentences above can be combined into compound
sentences and they are :
= The students should have done their tasks and he should too.
= The students should have done their tasks and so should he.
= Either the students or he should have done his tasks.
= Both the students and he should have done their tasks.
= Not only the students but also he should have done his tasks.
10. Present Perfect Continous Tense : S + have / has + been + Ving + O +......
=====(15).
Example :
= I have been teaching my subject in this school since 1988 and Mr. Usrok
has too.
= I have been teaching my subject in this school since 1988 and so has Mr. Usrok.
= Either I or Mr. Usrok has been teaching his subject in this school since 1988.
= Both I and Mr. Usrok have been teaching our subject in this school since 1988.
= Not only I but also Mr Usrok has been teaching his subject in this school since
1988.
11. Past Perfect Continuos Tense : S + had + been + Ving + O + ........ (16).
Example :

a. I had been studying English for two hours before I went to bed at
10.00 p.m last night.
b. Mr. Usrok had been studying English for two hours before he went
to bed at 10.00 p.m last night.
12. Present Future Continuous Tense : S + ( will, can, shall, must, may ) + be
+ Ving + O +.......====== (8).
Example :
Mr. Usrok will be attending the meeting. Mrs. Ucrit will be attending the
meeting.
13. Past Future Continuous Tense : S + (would , should, could, might, ought
to ) + be + Ving + O +.........=====(4)

14. Present Future Perfect Continuous Tense : S + (will , can , must, may, shall
) + have + been + Ving + O +....... ==== ( 10 )
Example :
The students will have been studying an interesting topic by the end of this month.
Miss Ucrit will have been studying an interesting topic by the end of this month.
= The students will have been studying an interesting topic by the end of
this month and Miss Ucrit will too.
= The students will have been studying an interesting topic by the end of
this month and so will Miss Ucrit.
= Either the students or Miss. Ucrit will have been studying an interesting
topic by the end of this month.
= Both the students and Miss . Ucrit will have been studying an interesting

15. Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense : S + (would, should, could, might,
ought to ) + have + been + Ving + O +....... =====(6).
Example :
The students should have been reading Chapter 5 by the end of December last
year.
I should have been reading Chapter 5 by the end of December last year.
= The students should have been reading Chapter 5 by the end of December last
year and I should too.
= The students should have been reading Chapter 5 by the end of December last
year and so should I.
= Either the students or I should have been reading Chapter 5 by the end of
December last year.
= Both the students and I should have been reading Chapter 5 by the end of
December last year.
= Not only the students but also I should have been reading Chapter 5 by the end
of December last year.

2. Neither .......nor....... :Verb disesuaikan dengan
subject kedua atau setelah “ nor “.

5. Not only ......but also..... : Verb disesuaikan dengan

classroom.
= Mr Usrok was not sleepy during the lesson in the classroom and Miss

= Both Mr Usrok and Miss Ucrit could not have finished their
homework by the end of September last year.
=Neither Mr Usrok nor Miss Ucrit could have finished her homework

= Mr Usrok could not have finished his homework by the end of
September last year and Miss Ucrit could not either.

11. Present Perfect Continous Tense : S + have / has + been + Ving + O + .....
Example :
= Both Mr Usrok and his friends have not been playing football for
15 years.
= Neither Mr Usrok nor his friends have been playing football for
15 years.
= Mr Usrok has not been playing football for 15 years and his friends
have not either.
= Mr Usrok has not been playing football for 15 years and neither
have his friends.
= Not only Mr Usrok but also his friends have not been playing
football for 15 years.

went to sleep.
b. Mr Usrok’s friends had not been studying their subjects for 2 hours
before they went to sleep.
= Both Mr Usrok and his friends had not been studying their

= Neither Mr Usrok nor his friends had been studying their
subjects for 2 hours before they went to sleep.
= Mr Usrok had not been studying his subjects for 2 hours before he
went to sleep and his friends had not either.
= Mr Usrok had not been studying his subjects for 2 hours before he
went to sleep and neither had his friends.

13. Present Future Continuous Tense : S + ( will, can , shall , must, may ) + be
+ Ving + O +........
Example :
= Both Mr Usrok and Miss Ucrit may not be studying English in their
classroom at this time tomorrow.
= Neither Mr Usrok nor Miss Ucrit may be studying English in her
classroom at this time tomorrow.
= Mr Usrok may not be studying English in his classroom at this time
tomorrow and Miss Ucrit may not either.
= Mr Usrok may not be studying English in his classroom at this time
tomorrow and neither may Miss Ucrit.
= Not only Mr Usrok but also Miss Ucrit may not be studying English
in her classroom at this time tomorrow.

14. Past Future Continuous Tense : S + (would, could, might, should, ought to )

Example :
a. Mr Usrok might not be doing his test when the teacher came to the

classroom yesterday.
= Both Mr Usrok and Miss Ucrit might not be doing their test when
the teacher came to the classroom yesterday.
= Neither Mr Usrok nor Miss Ucrit might be doing her test when the
teacher came to the classroom yesterday.
= Mr Usrok might not be doing his test when the teacher came to the
classroom yesterday and Miss Ucrit might not either.
= Mr Usrok might not be doing his test when the teacher came to the
classroom yesterday and neither might Miss Ucrit.
=Not only Mr Usrok but also Miss Ucrit might not be doing her test

15. Present Future Perfect Continuous Tense : S + (will, can, may, shall, must )
+ have + been + Ving + O +........
Example :
a. We shall not have been reading so many books for 1 hour by the
end of our lesson next meeting .
b. I shall not have been reading so many books for 1 hour by the end
of my lesson next meeting .
= Both we and I shall not have been reading so many books for 1
hour by the end our lesson next meeting.
=Neither we nor I shall have been reading so many books for 1
hour by the end of my lesson next meeting.
= We shall not have been reading so many books for 1 hour by the end
of our lesson next meeting and I shall not either.
= We shall not have been reading so many books for 1 hour by the end
of our lesson next meeting and neither shall I .
= Not only we but also I shall not have been reading so many
books for 1 hour by the end of my lesson next meeting.

16. Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense : S + ( would, could, should, might,
ought to )+ have + been + Ving + O +.......
Example :
a. Mr Usrok ought not to have been eating his lunch by the end of his
lessons yesterday.
b. Miss Ucrit ought not to have been eating her lunch by the end of
her lessons yesterday.
= Both Mr Usrok and Miss Ucrit ought not to have been eating
their lunch by the end of their lessons yesterday.
= Neither Mr Usrok nor Miss Ucrit ought to have been eating her
lunch by the end of her lessons yesterday.
= Mr Usrok ought not to have been eating his lunch by the end of his
lessons yesterday and Miss Ucrit ought not to either.
= Mr Usrok ought not to have been eating his lunch by the end of his
lessons yesterday and neither ought to Miss Ucrit.
= Not only Mr Usrok but also Miss Ucrit ought not to have been
eating her lunch by the end of her lessons yesterday.
C.If we want to combine the two simple sentences, and the first
sentence is in positive sentence whereas the second one is in
negative sentence or vice versa, so we use correlative
conjunction : “ but “.
Examples :
= The students wear school uniforms to school everyday but the teacher
doesn’t.
Or : The teacher doesn’t wear school uniforms to school everyday but the

students do.
= Mr Usrok was late to go to school yesterday but Miss Ucrit was not.
Or : =Miss Ucrit was not late to go to school yesterday but Mr Usrok
was.
Mr Usrok can make a beautiful house but Miss Ucrit can not.
Or : Miss Ucrit can not make a beautiful house but Mr Usrok can.
=Mr Usrok should eat the food three times a day but Miss Ucrit should not.
Or : =Miss Ucrit should not eat the food three times a day but Mr Usrok
should .

= The students have finished doing their task but Mr Usrok has not.
Or : Mr Usrok has not finished doing his task but the students have.
=Mr Usrok is teaching his subject in the class now but Mrs Ucrit is not.
Or = Mrs Ucrit is not teaching her subject in the class now but Mr Usrok is.

9. Present Future Perfect Tense : S + (will, can, shall, must, may ) + have +
V3 + O +........
Example :
a.Mr Usrok will have fallen asleep before 09.00 tonight.
b. Miss Ucrit will not have fallen asleep before 09.00 tonight.
= Mr Usrok will have fallen asleep before 09.00 tonight but Miss Ucrit will not.
Or : Miss Ucrit will not have fallen asleep before 09.00 tonight but Mr Usrok will.
10. Past Future Perfect Tense : S + (would, could, should, might, ought to) +
have + V3 + O +.......
Example :
a. Mr Usrok might have finished his homework by the end of August last
year.
b. Miss ucrit might not have finished her homework by the end of August
last year.
=Mr Usrok might have finished his homework by the end of August last year
but Miss Ucrit might not.
Or = Miss ucrit might not have finished her homework by the end of August
last year but Mr Usrok might.

= Mr Usrok will have been studying English for more than 5 years by the

Or = Miss Ucrit will not have been studying English for more than 5 years by
the end of this year but Mr usrok will.
16. Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense : S + ( would , could, might, should,
ought to )+ have + been + Ving + O +........
Example :
a.Mr Usrok should have been reading the last chapter by the end of his
lessons yesterday.
b.Miss Ucrit should not have been reading the last chapter by the end of her
lessons yesterday.
= Mr Usrok should have been reading the last chapter by the end of his
lessons yesterday but Miss Ucrit should not.
Or= Miss Ucrit should not have been reading the last chapter by the end of
her lessons yesterday but Mr Usrok should.
