 Developed and implemented a mathematics unit on multiplication facts and strategies,
which culminated in 15 students receiving a B or above average on the end unit test.
 Encouraged analytical thinking of the students during a STEM challenge lesson to create
a Mayflower ship utilizing tinfoil which would float in water to hold pennies.
 Conducted a reading group where open-ended questions were used to further student
thinking.

Child Development Practicum: Cranbury Presbyterian Nursery School, Spring, 2018


 Assisted, observed and taught 20 preschoolers.
 Guided students in identifying shapes to create a “shape-pizza” by requiring them to
point and name the shapes they had glued onto their plate. Differentiated this activity by
having high achieving students count and label each shape, then finding the total amount
of shapes on their plate.
 Demonstrated students’ knowledge of onsets by having them label a picture, and then
name the onset aloud before progressing on the game board.
Mathematics and Science Methods Practicum: Dutch Neck Elementary, West-Windsor
Plainsboro, Fall 2016
 Observed, assisted and taught in a 3rd grade class of 20 students.
 Encouraged analytic thinking and debate among students in an experiment to confront
their misconceptions about air resistance’s effect on gravity.
 Conducted a STEM project to find out students view on females in science by having
them draw a scientist and analyzing whether they drew male or females.
o Created a bulletin board displaying culturally diverse women in science to
increase exposure to diversity.
Literacy Practicum: Town Center Elementary, West-Windsor Plainsboro, Spring 2017
 Observed and assisted in a 2nd grade class of 16 students.
 Utilized The Giving Tree, by Shel Silverstein to introduce the writing technique of
personification. Students demonstrated their understanding of personification by
choosing from a list of objects and action verbs to create sentences.
 Administered a series of reading level and phonics assessments to one student.
 Tracked one students progress over the course of ten weeks. Observed their reading
fluency increase as they read chapter books aloud.
