Immigration

Immigrants had a lot of reasons to leave their homeland and come to America also known as "push and pull
factors." The main reason the immigrants came here was because life in their homeland was unbearable. In the
U.S they got almost everything they were looking for. In their homelands they had scarce land, farm jobs lost to
machines, political and religious persecution, and poverty. Almost everything was wrong and it seemed like
there was no hope, but then people heard about "The Land Of Opportunity." Also known as America. The
reason why America was so popular was because there was promise of freedom and a better life. There was also
a lot of factory and mine jobs available. So they started their long and painful journey, not knowing what they
were in for.

Of course there two types of immigrants. First kind it is illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants that people who
came to United States from Mexico, and mostly Asia without visa and also green card. In one of the websites “
Immigration laws/ illegal immigrants “ it states that When entering the United States illegally usually it is
referred to as “Border Crossing Card Violator.” In most cases the most high paid companies they hire people
who are illegal to the country and they make them to bring things or take some things that are illegal to the
country.” They also said that there had been many kinds of method of illegal entry accounts for roughly 6.5
million illegal immigrant files in the United States.

Children of illegal immigrants who are born in United States are United States citizens by virtue of an old law,
they become citizens of US. And of course government can not deport parents whose children's are citizens of
United States. Illegal immigrants should have no expectations that their lives here should be the same as those
who are legal citizens.

Another important aspect of the debate over illegal immigrants is their impact on the United States economy
and on the lives of citizens and legal residents. Americans complaints that illegal immigrants take jobs from
them. Because immigrants willing to work for lower wages.

Shelters are available to persons already in the United States who are seeking protection based on the same five
protected grounds upon which refugees rely. They may apply at a port of entry at the time they seek admission
or within one year of arriving in the United States. There is no limit on the number of individuals who may be
granted protection in a given year nor are there specific categories for determining who may seek security.

The individual entered the United States in a legal fashion (obtained a Visa) but stayed beyond the a lot of time
period in the nation or violated the terms of legal entry. Roughly 5 million immigrants entered America with a
legal visa; tourists and students are the most common groups to secure visas before travelling to the United
States.Their status of a legal migrant changes to “visa overstay” once the individual remains in the United States
after their authorized time of admission has expired. The time allotted by a visa will vary based on the visa class
the individual secured. The majority of these illegal immigrants enter the country with tourist or business visas.
