Facebook is the most popular and largest social networking website, with more than 1 billion users worldwide. Facebook
makes it easy for you to connect and share with your family and friends online. The interesting feature of Facebook is that
even if you’re not a registered user, you can still have a look at people’s profiles without actually signing up.

1 Navigate to the Facebook People Search page. Facebook People Search is the official Facebook search page
that helps you find people, whether you’re a Facebook user or not. Open a new web browser tab or window, and
enter “fb.com/srch.php” or “fb.com/people­search.php” in the address bar. Hit Enter and you’ll be taken to the
Facebook People Search page.
Alternatively, you can Google “Facebook People Search” and select it from the results (which is usually the
very first one).

2 Search for people whose profile you want to look at. On the Facebook People Search page, you’ll find a
search bar with the heading “Search for people by Name.” Type the full name of the person you’re looking for
here, and click the magnifying lens icon beside it to begin the search. This will display a list of Facebook users whose
names match, or nearly match, the one you entered in the search bar.
You can also write an email address of the person you’re looking for in the search bar. To make a more
accurate search, you can combine using the plus sign (+) in between keywords with the various information you
know about the person you’re looking for. For instance, you can enter “[name of the person] + [native city] +
[profession] + [any other info you know about a person].” This will filter results to find users closely matching all
the information given.

3 Browse by name. If you’re not looking for a particular person and just want to check out random profiles on
Facebook, you can use the “Browse by name” option below the search bar. Click on any of the alphabet links
below the “Browse by name” heading, and Facebook will list users whose profiles begin with the letter you selected.
For instance, if you clicked “Z,” a list of users whose profile names begin with Z will appear.

4 Visit profiles. Click on the name of a user you believe may be the person you’re looking for from the results. You
will be taken to their profile page. The profile page will display the user’s basic information, including the profile
picture and cover picture of the user, and, sometimes, the user’s favorites.
Information displayed will depend on the user’s privacy settings. If the user has his/her information hidden (e.g.,
favorites), then you will not be able to see it.

1 Visit Facebook. Open a new web browser tab or window, and navigate to the Facebook home page.

2 Look for the People link. You will have to scroll down to the bottom of the page, on the footer. The link is just
above “Contacts” and between “Badges” and “Pages.”

3 Click the People link. This will take to Facebook’s Directory, where you can search for Facebook users, or
browse users by name.

Search for people whose profile you want to look at. Type the full name of the person you’re looking for on the
 Search field to the right of the page, just below the login fields, and click the magnifying lens icon beside it to begin the
search. This will display a list of Facebook users whose names match, or nearly match, the one you entered in the
