Report Guidelines:

Chapter 1: [Ideation]
a. Describe your project idea that is technically sound and solve real problems in an industry of choice. You
should have identified an industry and provide a clear understanding of their unmet needs. You should
describe your idea clearly and persuasively and linked to solving the problem or unmet need and includes
an explanation for idea inspiration. Support your arguments with value proposition canvas.
b. Project objectives
c. Literature review (history)/ benchmarking

Chapter 2: [Design Specification]


Provide a design sketch of your idea. Define product attributes/objectives, design criteria/ engineering
targets and design numbers. Discuss on product attributes and how does each attribute leads to a design
criteria and then to engineering targets or performance characteristic(s). May use tabular format. All
objectives, Engineering targets, design numbers must be realistic and achievable and must correlate with
your customer requirements.

Chapter 3: [Architectural enablers and Performance Integration]


List all the enablers/ system components, which will help achieve the design numbers or product
characteristics, and overall architecture of the product. Architectural integration contains the ‘enablers’ or
system configuration and bill of process. Bill of process is the term describing the overall architecture of the
product and how each component will be manufactured and assembled into the finished product.
Chapter 4: [Development plan]
This chapter contains responsibilities for each team members, bill of materials and development plan (provide
Gantt Chart)

Chapter 5: [Performance Integration]


contains detailed analysis on enablers at system or subsystem level and methods of analysis to check if they
meet the design criteria (engineering characteristics or targets set earlier). This follows a list of verification or
testing methods (actual or virtual) to verify if the engineering targets are met

Chapter 6: [Business plan]


Describe your business plan with the aid of business model canvas. Presentation on costs
incurred in creating and delivering the value proposition. Display a realistic understanding of the costs of the
business including fundamentals cost, key activities and key resources. Identify key partners and present
future partnership plans. Identify and address important customers, provide strategies for sustainable
customer relationship, and provide channels to reach customer segments. Identify revenue streams and ways
in which product/ service will be sold. Do projection on product sales for 5 years and estimate your return of
investment.

Chapter 7: [Ethics and social responsibility]


Describes on ethical details containing warnings on the product , safety, health, environmental and
sustainability issues
