Quick start guide Sebalog Corr

1. Install the software from CD

2. Connect Sebalog RI to computer and run software

The Sebalog RI goes to the USB port

The green check mark shows the Sebalog
RI is connected properly

3. Follow the „first-start-wizard“ of the software (only for first start)

The wizard guides the operator through the basic

information for the first start

4. Set up a logger set

The unique ID of each logger is

written on the top label

Loggers can be added manually. The ID is The automatically identification of the

written on top of each logger. Leading “0” loggers allows a fast set up of a group
are not needed to enter.
5. Choose measurement mode

The two modes of operation.

Night = night time measurement,

Instantaneous = measure now
The operator has to define the mode for the current measurement before the loggers
can be programmed. It is possible to change the mode for another measurement.

6. Programming

The software shows “EasyGo” tool tipps whenever action from the operator is needed. This way, the software
guides the operator through the necessary steps automatically.

Set the “start” time of the measurement by pressing the “arrows”. When the time is set, all loggers are switched
on and in radio distance, press “program”

The time of the loggers is synchronized by the software automatically to ensure an accurate measurement.
A timer in the upper right corner of the software shows the countdown to the measurement.
7. GPS
Saving the GPS positions of the loggers for each measurement, enables the software to create a map
automatically and to guide the operator to the leak position like a navigation system.

The GPS receiver goes to the USB port, The GPS position can be stored for each logger by
just like the Sebalog RI pressing the “GPS” button

After saving the GPS Position, the red

question mark changes to a green “ok”

In case a dialog window with three question marks

appears (1), please check if the GPS receiver is connected
properly.
2
Check the COM Port settings in the “configuration menu”
of the software, and choose the correct COM Port for your
GPS receiver. (2)

8. Read out

As soon as the countdown in the upper right corner is at zero, the loggers can be collected
and read out by pressing the “Read” button
After downloading the data successfully, the 4
measurement data are displayed and can be analyzed
by the operator.

Listening to the recorded audio file (1), watching noise

and frequency spectrum (2), as well as watching ESA,
1 2 3
level and frequency (3) of the audio sample are the
first analyzing tools before correlation.

Also time and date of the measurement are displayed

(4).

9. Correlate
1

To correlate all measurements, only the

“Correlation” button needs to be pressed. (1)

All possible correlations between the loggers

automatically appear on the left side of the
3
window.

A quality indication in green/yellow or red is

automatically given by the software. (2)

A filtering of all correlations is possible at the

top of the window. (3)
2

By selecting one of the correlations, the

“single correlation” window appears.

In this window, all necessary data (pipe

information) can be entered to achieve a
precise result.

A large number of helpful tools and displays

are available to achieve an accurate
correlation.
10. Navigate to leak

Change to the “Mapping”

menu to draw or load a
map.

Even without internet

connection a GPS accurate
positioning is done when
the “GPS” button is
pressed.

Press “show leak” to see

the leaks which have been
correlated.

The function shows all

possible “green” and
“yellow” rated correlations
based on the pipe
information entered before.

The “Leak navigator” adds the operator position to

the map. Follow the red mark to be guided directly to
leak position.

11. Pinpoint

Once the leak position has been reached, place

the loggers along the pipe.

Press “Pinpointing” and watch the results given by the loggers.

Make sure all loggers are switched on and in radio range. The
logger with the highest ESA value is the most closest to the leak.

12. Congratulations, you have found the leak!
