PDP Professional Development Plan

Take some time to read through your MST/MCT report from last semester. Highlight (or take
notes) on comments which identify points of development. Choose one or two which you feel are
especially important and write them in the table. Then decide which competency it is, what you
want to achieve in this area this semester and finally note how you will achieve this.

practicum were:
This can be completed based on previous
practicum. You need to include your MCT/ MST

“Students must realize that a reward for good

behavior is something they need to work for
right through the lesson. Giving rewards
should not slow down the lesson or make the
students lose interest.”

Goals: My goals this practicum is to be able to

engage all the students.
What are your goals for this practicum, what are
looking to improve in yourself? (Minimum 2 goals), to make my rules clear and to be able to
manage the classroom using these rules.

display my rules and read them loudly with
What strategies you are going to follow to achieve
your goals (Minimum 2 strategies for each goal) the students, I made them simple and clear
which is why it worked well.

To manage the classroom behavior and to

make sure that awards are not slow down the
lesson, I used the three dragons’ strategy, the
names that written beside the green dragon on
the board will get a reward.

The dragons’ behavior strategy:
At first applying my rules was a bit
challenging but repeating them during the
lesson as a reminder helped the students to
pay attention to them.
My MCT/MST comments this time was:
“Lacks confidence and beliefs in her teaching
abilities”
I’m glad that I achieved my previous
practicum goals, and next semester I’m
working on my confidence.
