ABSTRACT
Findings revealed that the beneficiaries of the NCIP-EAP generally had nuclear
type of families; had 5-6 family members; had monthly income below the poverty line;
had farmer parents; and had parents who mostly acquired elementary education.
Student beneficiaries mostly acquired average academic performance and had less
Students had not developed the desirable habits to achieve good academic
performance. Students had not developed regular study habits in reading, note taking,
studying, memorizing and preparing for a test. Students’ problems were mostly in
acquiring Math and Science competencies; far distance of home to school; and
inadequate allowance.

Based on the findings and conclusions, the study recommends that beneficiaries
must develop study habits to improve their academic performance; and they could adopt
the study habit techniques developed in the action plan. For Teachers, they must provide
full support to the NCIP-EAP beneficiaries; and must ensure that they teach practical
study habits to the NCIP-EAP beneficiaries and monitor how students are applying the
techniques. For the school administrators, they must provide programs to support the
NCIP-EAP beneficiaries; they could look for sponsors to provide one-year school
supplies to lessen financial needs of the students; and put up clubs or organization in
