Mid Project check-up (After Research and planning)

The main problem that I had when planning for my production was
getting the people that agreed to be in my production to organise a day
to actually film. The reason for this is because everyone I wanted to
interview had either work or university, so getting a definite date to film
was a problem. However as I left my shooting schedule relatively open it
meant that I was able to accommodate to my actors.

End of project review

One of the problems that I came across during the production process was one of the
interviews that I filmed was slightly out of focus and after reviewing the footage and
getting opinions from my lectures. I decided that I could not use the footage as it would
visually not fit right with the rest of the documentary. However I resolved the issues by
using just the audio from the interview and cover it with archive footage. As a result when
looking at the edit I treated the interview as a “phone call” interview, but the effect of
using the archive footage over the interview meant that I could not use archive footage
anywhere else. The reason for this was you can only have 10% of the production being
archive footage and so that 10% was used during the “phone call” interview.

Also as I began to edit my production on my laptop using a different version of premier

pro when I then came into college to finish the edit of my production. It meant that I was

not allowed to use a certain font that I was using for my title screens because it was not
on the colleges computers. What this meant was that I had the end up using a different
font that I personally believed did not look as good as the original font.
