SAP Jam

Integrating your solution with SAP Jam makes it easy to collaborate with colleagues and stay up-to-date.

Business Background

SAP Jam integration offers several advantages:

You will be able to create and use groups for accounts, opportunities, products, and service tickets.
You will have the option of using the SAP Jam Feed, which has the same components as the native
feed, including system updates, but allows for cross-application collaboration.
The SAP Jam Feed includes updates about different areas that appear in different places:
The home feed includes updates on your actions, your groups, and objects (such as opportunities or
tickets) you are following. You can find this feed under the Feed work center, or from the Feed pane on
the right side.
The objects feed includes both system updates about an object and updates manually entered by
users. You can find this feed from the object details, in either the Overview tab or the Feed tab.
The groups feed includes updates on the groups created around an object. For example, you may
have created a group around an opportunity that includes the sales team involved. These groups
correspond to your SAP Jam groups that you can also access from SAP Jam. You can find this feed
from the object details, in the Groups tab.
The following is a list of objects that have either a Groups tab and/or a Feed tab. You can access these tabs
from the details screen for that object.

Before you begin your SAP Jam integration, you must decide whether you want to use the SAP Jam Feed.
You have the following options:
You can use the native Feed only.
You can use SAP Jam as your primary source for the Feed.
This decision will impact the following steps:
1. Activate SAP Jam integration during scoping under Communication and Information Exchange
People Collaboration, Intranet and External Services Communities, Documental Management and
External Services .
During this time, you can choose to use SAP Jam as the primary source for the Feed.
