Introduction

The term “Enlightened Billionaire” might perplex an old-fashioned man. It means

combining spirituality with excessive material possession. Our forefathers had taught us

that in order to achieve total goodness as a human being, we must give up worldly

possessions and lead a simple life. Mother Theresa was a pioneer of this philosophy. She

had lived with the poor in order to help with the poor. While there was nothing wrong

with that belief, modern times and the digital age have pushed the faithful to invent a new

philosophy which applies to the modern society.

According to Brahmarshi Prem Nirmalji, “enlightenment” is the word used for

representing the ultimate peak of the spiritual evolution of human consciousness while
“billionaire” is a term used for the ultimate material affluence. Therefore, the spiritually

rich and the materially affluent is what the Enlightened Billionaire embodies.

The key component in having the best of both worlds is that you are already in possession

of the wealth you need in order to help the world. In the old days, you have to be poor in

order to understand and help the poor. In this modern world, would you think sitting

down with the homeless people will make them a home? Absolutely not. Now, you need

to be capable and affluent in order to be significant in the society.

Our minds have been accustomed into thinking that having a lot of money and other

worldly things is evil. However, an Enlightened Billionaire has other agendas for his

money. He doesn't earn it just to keep it to himself. His spirituality brings him to

compassion for other people. Therefore, he earns money for others and not for himself.

This is a very modern approach to the whole concept of a missionary. Enlightened

Billionaires are not necessarily the villain just like not all the spiritual leaders are saints.

Read on and we will touch all the aspects of the Enlightened Billionaire.

Enlightened Billionaire – Education towards

Financial Stability
People have different views about spirituality as well as financial affluence. People put

different values on these two. There are different factors that may affect how much value

a person places on money and spirituality. However, no one will deny that being able to

attain the highest level of both aspects. An enlightened person is one who understands his

or her faith. An enlightened person is well on his or her way to self-actualization. On the

other hand, a billionaire is someone who is very wealthy. A lot of people dream of being a

billionaire. Being an enlightened billionaire means having the best of both worlds.

The Impossible Dream – Enlightened Billionaire

Back Then

In the olden days, traditional culture prefers spiritual enlightenment over material

properties. Saints and lamas among many other spiritual leaders sacrifice material

affluence to be in touch with their faiths. Back then, most people associate excessive

wealth with greed. Most spiritual men give up their comfortable lives to reach out to

others and carry out spiritual missions. However, enlightened billionaires do not have to

sacrifice anything. They can achieve progress in both their spiritual and economic

statuses. As a matter of fact, being rich and being spiritually enlightened now goes hand-

in-hand. Both have become necessary for self-actualization.

Right Here, Right Now – Enlightened Billionaire

Today

Most people would think that being an enlightened billionaire is impossible. In this day

and age when everything seems to happen in just a click of a button, people are

desensitized and would often be apprehensive of claims that sound too-good-to-be-true.

The only way for people to believe is to see the changes and learn from other people’s

experiences. This is why being an enlightened billionaire is the only way to make people

believe that they can become enlightened billionaires too.

One Love – Enlightened or Billionaire?

Poverty hinders people from being enlightened. Some people are just not ready to let go

of what they have to pursue spiritual growth. However, those days are gone. Now, people

do not need to give up anything. On the contrary, they can now gain economic growth as

they also grow spiritually. What other people enlightened beggars are now things of the

past. How can this be done? It is actually a matter of having the right lifestyle and the

right mindset.
To be or not to be – What an Enlightened

Billionaire Needs

Having the wrong mindset is the reason why other people would say yes to spirituality

and say no to wealth. This is the reason why spiritual leaders back then are materially

poor. Nowadays, it is very hard to reach out to people and lead them towards spiritual

growth when you do not have the resources to do so. There are many developments in

technology especially in the field of communication. While it is now easier to reach

people from different parts of the world, it also means that you need to have materials and

funds to carry out spiritual missions.

Now, you need to establish a strong online presence. Therefore, you need to have access

to a computer. You need to have internet connection. You need to have a phone. You need

to have a concrete guide on how to carry out your plans. You need to be seen. You need to

be everywhere. Doing these calls for resources and without material affluence, these will

be a lot of times more difficult.

Yes Man – An Enlightened Billionaire says Yes!

The key to being an enlightened billionaire is to say yes. While traditional spiritual

leaders said no to wealth, the enlightened billionaire should refrain from doing that too.
He or she should say yes to both material and spiritual riches. In order to do this, many

changes should be done.

• Change of Attitude. Being an enlightened billionaire starts with self-

empowerment. While people back then believe that they have to adhere to

customs and traditions, the enlightened billionaire believes more in action. They

believe that if you want change, then you have to change or cause a change. You

do not have to choose between wealth and spirituality as your aim. You have to

know that you can hit two birds with one stone. In addition, you need to learn how

to be resourceful. You need to be smart enough to spot the right opportunities and

have the ability to sustain your existing resources.

• Change of Mindset. Some people believe that being able to focus in just one thing

is a strength. However, it actually depends upon the situation. An enlightened

billionaire does not focus on just one thing. He or she looks for any other benefits

and take as much as they can especially when one is necessary for the attainment

of their ultimate goal. As an example, if your ultimate goal is to lead people to

spiritual growth, then you will need resources. It is wrong to think that you can

only have one of the two. The right mindset is to believe and work towards the

attainment of the highest level of spirituality and wealth.

Inside and Out – The Makings of an Enlightened

Billionaire

Soon, spiritual beggars will cease to exist. The same goes for wealth beggars. When

people choose to have the right attitude, the right lifestyle, and the right mindset, it won’t

be long until everyone becomes an enlightened billionaire. How can you tell if one has

already attained the status of an enlightened billionaire?

• Façade of Affluence. Affluence is more about material richness so it is logical that

this is seen on the outside. Having sufficient resources, living comfortable, being

able to afford anything that your heart desires – these are some of the marks of an

enlightened billionaire. To some, it may sound as something shallow but there is

actually some truth in the saying “Money makes the world go round”. While love

and spirituality matters, you will have a higher possibility of being a successful

and effective spiritual leader when you have sufficient resources.

• Rich Interior. It is the deeper side of things. The enlightened billionaire has a rich

interior which is a fertile ground for spiritual growth and development. It is filled

with accomplishment, well-meant desires, and selfless missions which make up

the person’s self-worth.

Change the World – A World of Enlightened

Billionaires

Enlightened Billionaire takes on the challenge of changing the world. It aims to change

the people and transform them into enlightened billionaires as well. It aims to make

people know that they do not have to choose between faithfulness and richness. While

most people simply believe that money has no place in spirituality and vice versa,

Enlightened Billionaire is set to change this kind of mindset. This movement is definitely

the key to a brighter future. Just think about how people would want no more. People will

lead a well-rounded life.

As today’s generation is not satisfied with stories, Enlightened Billionaire will lead by

example. Enlightened Billionaire will show, not tell.

It may be hard at first as you will have to reprogram your mind. You have to internalize

that being spiritual is tantamount to being poor and that being rich means being poor in

spirit. You have to replace old “engrams” which says that you have to sacrifice wealth so

you can experience spiritual high with the reality that you can have both if you have the

right attitude and the right mindset.

If you will look around you, you will find that most people are still hung up on the old

“engrams”. This is the challenge that each enlightened billionaire faces. He or she has to

share what he or she learned and to change other people’s lives.

Consciousness – The Changes for Enlightened

Billionaires

An enlightened billionaire undergoes different changes. From someone who believes that

having both wealth and spirituality is impossible, there is a major change of heart.

Originally, one has poverty consciousness. However, with the right mindset, this is

changed to enlightened consciousness. First, there is poverty consciousness which will

turn into prosperity consciousness.

People have to cope with change. The good news is that Enlightened Billionaire is here to

provide assistance as people cope. It is understandable that most people would choose to

stick to what they know. However, this generation is always hungry for improvement and

for innovations. Enlightened Billionaires is a movement which opens doors. It paves the

way toward total contentment and it will allow people to experience all the best that this

world has to offer. It does not stop in things of this world but even goes beyond it.

Enlightened Billionaire aims for what seems to be impossible. That is because it is not

impossible at all. Enlightened Billionaire will tap on something that you already have

inside you. It is your desire to attain spiritual growth. It is your desire to be rich. There is

nothing wrong with wanting both especially when you can actually do it. Make the best

out of life with Enlightened Billionaire!

Old Age and the New World

The late 1900s’s mindset was in order to understand the poor, you have to mirror the

poor. Mother Teresa was known for her selflessness while on her missionary status in

India. On September 10, 1946, Mother Teresa had answered “a call within a call.” She

had While traveling back to Loreto from Calcutta, she had decided to lead a missionary

life focused on helping the poorest of the poor. She had said, “I was to leave the convent

and help the poor while living among them. It was an order. To fail would have been to

break the faith.”

In 1948, she began her missionary work in India. She received basic medical training and

adopted an Indian citizenship. Afterwards, she went on to live in the slums. She had

admitted that she had a great deal of doubt when she experienced what the poor was

living in. She had experienced hunger, loneliness, and helplessness.

In one of her diary entries, she wrote: “Our Lord wants me to be a free nun covered with

the poverty of the cross. Today I learned a good lesson. The poverty of the poor must be

so hard for them. While looking for a home I walked and walked till my arms and legs

ached. I thought how much they must ache in body and soul, looking for a home, food
and health. Then the comfort of Loreto [her former order] came to tempt me. 'You have

only to say the word and all that will be yours again,' the Tempter kept on saying ... Of

free choice, my God, and out of love for you, I desire to remain and do whatever be your

Holy will in my regard. I did not let a single tear come.”

Eventually, Mother Teresa had received help from the government because of her

charitable works. She used all the donations she received towards building a free hospice

for the poor. This would be the foundation of the “Missionaries of the Charity”.

Since then, Mother Teresa was successful in campaigning for the poverty in India. She

had raised a lot of awareness that big companies from all around the world wanted to

fund her mission.

Mother Teresa had a great mission and purpose. However, it is evident that she couldn't

do it without the financial capability of other people. In this instance, Mother Teresa was

had the element of enlightenment. Where she lacked the “billionaire” aspect, all her

sponsors had made up for it.

Imagine having both of these elements combined towards a greater purpose in life. It

would be easier to be a missionary of faith. This would usher in a lot of modern

philanthropist who has the means to build up a future for the needy.
Forbes and the Philanthropic Research Institute partnered in order to rank which

Americans gave the most in a calendar year. They called this project “Philanthropic 50”.

In this research, they determine the actual cash given towards philanthropic purposes

rather than money pledged to be given.

High on top of the list are Bill Gates and his wife Melinda, who each put almost $2

billion towards philanthropic work in 2012 alone.

Warren Buffet, one of the founders of the Giving Pledge, had committed in donating his

entire Berkshire Hathaway holding (valued at $58 billion) before or at his death given

that it will be put to use within ten years.

“The truth is I have never given a penny away that had any utility to me,” he said in one

of his acceptance speech for a philanthropic award. “I am very grateful for this award, I

accept this award. But I’d like to accept it not only for myself but for those millions of

people who really give away money that’s important to them because they see somebody

else where they think they can do more good.”

If we compare these famous lines from Mother Teresa and Buffet, the same concept is

coming from the natural instinct to help those who are in need. However, the pool of

resources are coming in from different places. Buffet has a lot of money. There was no

denying it. However, his worldly possessions does not hinder or blind him from seeing

that his excesses are necessities to other people. That realization or enlightenment

compels him to fulfill his social responsibility to the world.

The trouble in accepting the mission of the “Enlightened Billionaire” is that we are so

accustomed to the old engrams and beliefs such as “Blessed is the poor for they will enter

the Kingdom of God.” These are fruitless philosophies that don't solve the problem but

create it some more. We would have to switch our mindsets from “poverty

consciousness” to prosperity “consciousness”.

In the Eastern countries, they remain predominantly focused on spiritual experiments

spearheaded by Yogies, Sufies, Rishis, Lamas. These experiments help you attain inner

peace and consciousness. One will be able to connect with your inner strength. Some of

the significant people who have reached great heights in consciousness were Patanjali,

Astavarka, Krishna, King Janak, Buddha, and Mahavira. However, the eastern countries

still remain predominantly poor today because of this unbalanced focus on spirituality.

Meanwhile in the western countries, they are all busy with advanced technologies that

they have distracted themselves from another important aspect of life which is

spirituality. Although these technological breakthroughs proved to be very substantial to

the human race, the western people are very hungry and thirsty for inner happiness.

Therefore, they are also unsatisfied in their own way.

To become “Enlightened Billionaires” we need to embrace material wealth and

enlightened consciousness. That is the basic premise and foundation of the movement.

Prem Nirmal had created a workshop dedicated solely to teaching us how to become

Enlightened Billionaires of our own. We have to follow his 13-point program that teaches
us how to become well-rounded persons. It combines the internal consciousness of being

enlightened and the prowess that comes with the material wealth.
